🪘We’re excited to present for our festival headliner: Mohamed Errebbaa as part of Mo & Tagna Groove 💚 On stage at 6:00pm | Saturday September 6th | Queen’s Square, Clevedon 🎶
Our September festival headliner promises to bring the party to Queen’s Square! Mohamed Errebbaa — a Moroccan Maalem (master) of Gnawa music — brings his powerful six-piece ensemble Tagna Groove to Clevedon, for a soul-stirring, rhythm-charged finale 🌍🔥
Originally from Rabat, Errebbaa began performing with Sufi brotherhoods at the age of 10 and earned the revered title of Maalem at just 26 — one of the youngest to do so. A master of the Guembri (three-stringed bass lute), his music channels centuries of Gnawa tradition, reimagined through a modern, genre-blending lens.
🎵 Expect a rich fusion of Gnawa, funk, jazz, soul, and Afrobeat — deep tradition meets irresistible groove.
🎵 Tagna Groove’s debut album Hali (Arts Council England-funded) showcases their collaborative fire and features guitarist Justin Adams.
🎵 Festival favourites from Glastonbury to Shambala, their live shows are hypnotic, joyful, and fiercely alive.
✨ Featuring:
