A film evening for all at Chinnor Village Hall bringing back cinema evenings to the village.

The Chinnor and District Royal British Legion will be holding the first cinema evening on 15th November, having acquired the necessary licence, Operation Mincemeat staring Colin Firth, as Ewan Montague and Johnny Flynn as Ian Fleming. An intriguing plot to fool the Germans regarding British plans for an invasion to free many allied
Countries from German Occupation.

As in 1944 it will be CASH ONLY for tickets and at the bar - there was no technology in 1944 to pay for things. Good old CASH CASH CASH

All proceeds will go to the Chinnor Poppy Appeal 2024.

Tickets will be available from Charlie the butcher @ £8.00 pp. Alternatively call Lynn on +44 7503 387728 or Sue on +44 7730 420264.

These evenings were very popular during WW2. CVH now has a whole package to offer hirers wishing to carryout fundraising with a difference.

Doors, and the bar will be open from 7.30. You will also be able to pre-order drinks for the intermission before going into the auditorium and taking a seat. The film showing will start at 8pm

We are so looking forward to re-starting cinema evenings in the village. For further information on running a film showing please contact [email protected] and we will be only too pleased to go through the process and costs.
