Yet another valuable volunteer opportunity has been sourced for our awesome Members.

This week our super staff member Kayla supported our fabulous Members Ash M and Becky to the Greatwood Village Hall Charity Shop in Tean.

Kayla fed back ….

Took Becky and Ash to Greatwood Village Hall Charity Shop. They were both very good helpers putting into sizes and the lady's thanked them for sorting out the dropped of clothes.

Very well done to Ash and Becky, super job guys 😊

It’s shopping day today.

Our super staff member Sarah who supports our shoperteers fed back….

Bright sunshine for our 2 regular shoppers today, and a guest appearance from our other member Steven 😄 members now have a list each and have to source the items independently. Doing a great job checking dates xx

If your school could use this then give Mini First Aid a call.
We have had the pleasure of having them at EB and our Members learnt first aid procedures and really enjoyed the session 🩹

Would your child or teenager know what to do and who to call in an emergency? Do you know what key information is important for your child to be able to relay to the call handler?

Mini First Aid Early Years classes are for children aged 3-6 and work with the Early Years & Key Stage 1 Curriculum. Children learn about what happens to their bodies if they are hurt and how they would be treated by a grown-up.

There are 2 classes available;

💚 In class 1 children meet Freddie who not only knows how to ring 999 but also knows his address when mummy is poorly.
💚 In class 2 children learn the importance of safe eating practice as Freddie and his friends share the importance of Sit, Chop & Chew.

Chat to your school about first aid learning provision for your children and let them know about Mini First Aid!

We would like to say a huge well done to our awesome volunteer Shaun who has completed some of our annual training:

CoSHH, Diversity Equality and Inclusion, Fire training, Food safety, Hand Hygiene training and Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults.

Shaun began his volunteering with EB after he took part in the Tokyo Paralympics back in 2021.

He has been a huge credit to the team and we thank him for his hard work and continued support to both Staff and Members. 😊

Can anyone support our lovely friends at Project Indi?

As our musical is just around the corner, we’re currently looking for some in person prop making support!

We’ll be running a prop making session with our members taking place on:
📅Tuesday 8th September 1pm – 3.30pm

And we’d love you to join!

☕Tea and coffee will be provided

🎨Any support would be greatly appreciated, whether you’re interested in crafts, painting or costumes, all skills will be grateful,

Once again we would like to say a huge well done to our super holiday Member Jacob.

This morning Jacob has been joining in with games and completing a jigsaw. Just look at his proud face when he finished the jigsaw! 😊

We had 3 super shoperteers taking on the autumn weather feel today.

Well done to Des, Charlotte and Sophie who smashed the weekly shopping trip as always using lots of different life skills 🛒
