Meet Jack and the Beanstalks Writer and Director!!

✨ Alison ✨

Alison is a founding member of Chacewater Players and first performed with the children in 1979. Over the years, she has performed many of the female roles in Players’ productions and has also previously been involved in choreography.

Jack and the Beanstalk will be the third pantomime that Alison has written and directed. Her previous pantomimes were Mother Goose and the 40th Anniversary production of Dick Whittington.

With Jack and the Beanstalk, Alison believes this will be her 40th pantomime with Chacewater Players – a remarkable achievement and one that reflects her long-standing commitment to the Players and the community.

Every great production starts with an amazing team behind the scenes, and we're lucky to have a fantastic group of volunteers who aim to keep our society running all year round!

First, we'd like to introduce our Core Committee:

A successful AGM and BBQ yesterday!! Celebrating a wonderful year of shows and friendships!

A huge Thankyou to our Chair and Treasurer who have stepped back from their roles. Kit, for being a wonderful Chairperson, giving great advice and direction to the group. Always being a level and listening ear - we appreciate all you've done!! And Rachel Elliot, the treasurer, keeping an eye on our bank balance, but also helping back stage at the shows.

🎭 We discussed our future pantomime production which we will be announcing later this week!! 🎭

✨ A New Core Committee has been appointed which will be revealed tomorrow, and they have welcomed an amazing raise of hands to join them in their Committee! A staggering 11 people in total - we are delighted to have the support and to keep our group growing with brilliance and positivity! ✨

Thankyou to everyone who came to watch and support us all at Chacewater Players - we had so much fun and we hope you did too!!

✨✨We couldn't put our shows on without extra hands.... So huge SHOUT OUT to Austin for doing the lighting and sound - you smashed it!!!!✨✨
