NEW FEATURE!!!!
Due to the recent heatwaves, we have re programmed the fans in the heaters in Chyvelah hall to run for cooling; once activated they run for 2 hours to help keep the hall cooler. If you need to know how you operate this feature just ask.
We are telling our regular users how to do this.😃.

Byrne Blackbelt Academy is On tonight after Bloods session was cancelled.

Sadly due to staff sickness the NHS Blood Donors session today has had to be cancelled.

So three youngsters though it a good idea to try to trap their friend in the public toilet forcing the door to prevent it opening.
This broke the retaining metal strap and the door couldn't be closed or locked.
Sadly a wheelchair user (with an amputation), tried but couldn't use the toilet or close the door or lock it so had to give up.
Repairs were urgently undertaken and the toilet was back in service within hours.
Our apologies go to that user.
This sadly is another example of what we are suffering regularly around the community centre.

Any green fingered enthusiasts out there?
Our trustee who looked after our planters has sadly stood down after years of caring for our planters, alternating summer and winter plants.
If you are interested in looking after them, please get in touch.
Watering is still taking place in this heatwave.

GOOD NEWS.
The main kitchen off Pengelly and Chyvelah halls has had a makeover.
New worktops new plinths and a repair to one well used cupboard.😃

Big Shout out to Gary Tonkin of Cornwall Drains Ltd and his team for identifying the problem with the drains, and sorting the repairs and damage to the existing drains.
Another example of the substandard works done to the centre in 2021.
They managed to keep the whole building functionable during the works with minor inconvenience (excuse the pun).
What a professional and experienced team.
