This weekend marks a special moment for Harvey Czmeiduch as he makes his Open Age debut for Cutsyke Raiders A.R.L.F.C against Castleford Panthers.

Having been part of the club for the last 10 years, Harvey has progressed through the junior ranks, showing dedication, commitment and a real passion for the Raiders badge every step of the way.

Comfortable at ho**er or in the halves, Harvey brings plenty of energy, skill and rugby intelligence to the side. Everyone at the club is incredibly proud to see another one of our own earn the opportunity to pull on the Open Age shirt.

Congratulations, Harvey. Your Raiders journey is only just beginning, and we can't wait to see what the future holds. 🔴⚫🏉

🔴⚫ TEAM NEWS | CUTSYKE RAIDERS vs CASTLEFORD PANTHERS 🔴⚫

The team is in for Round 8 as the Raiders return to home turf looking to build on the positives from recent weeks.

The coaches have once again had some difficult decisions to make, with competition for places throughout the squad. Congratulations to the 17 selected to pull on the Raiders shirt this weekend, while those not involved remain an important part of the group and will continue pushing standards in training.

This Saturday we welcome Castleford Panthers to Willowbridge Playing Fields for what promises to be another tough test. The lads will need your support from the first whistle to the last as they look to put in a performance full of commitment, pride and determination.

Cutsyke Raiders A.R.L.F.C are delighted to welcome Andy Gee back home.

After spending a few weeks with Castleford Panthers, Andy has returned to the club where it all started. Cutsyke through and through, his commitment and passion for the Raiders have never been in question.

Predominantly a centre, Andy brings experience, toughness and quality to the back line. His hard running, strong defence and competitive nature make him a valuable addition to the squad as we continue to build throughout the season.

And with the Raiders set to face Castleford Panthers this weekend, Andy's return couldn't have come at a better time.

Having one of our own back in the black and red is a huge boost for everyone involved at the club, and we're looking forward to seeing Andy back representing the Raiders once again.

It's derby day this Saturday as we welcome local rivals Castleford Panthers to Willowbridge for our Round 8 clash. 🔥🏉
Games like this need no introduction. Two local sides, plenty of pride on the line, and 80 minutes to leave everything out on the field.
The lads will be looking to put in a big performance in front of the home crowd, and they'll need the Syke faithful right behind them from the first whistle to the last.
Get yourselves down to Willowbridge, bring the noise, and let's make it a fortress once again.

David previously played his junior rugby at Lock Lane and brings plenty of versatility to the squad, with the ability to play anywhere across the backs.

He made his debut for the Raiders against Derby Elks at the weekend and put in a solid performance, showing great enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved whenever called upon.

We're looking forward to seeing David continue to develop in the black and red and can't wait to watch his journey with the Raiders unfold.

Zack has come through the ranks at Cutsyke, representing the club throughout his junior years before returning this season to pull on the shirt at open age level.

Having already made his debut and featured in a number of games, Zack has shown his versatility, commitment and willingness to put the team first wherever he's needed on the field.

It's always special to see one of our own progress through the club and back into the open age setup. We're looking forward to seeing Zack continue to develop and make his mark in the black and red.

Signing 🖋️ Lucas Armstrong

A versatile player who can slot into the centres or second row, Lucas made his debut for the club against Derby and immediately showed what he's all about. Carrying the ball strongly and defending with real intent, he put in a solid performance and looks to be a great addition to the squad.
