Reflections Yorkshire CIC “Rebuilding lives. Restoring hope. Reigniting purpose.”
Everything about life after addiction! Part of the Reflections Family💜

We help vulnerable people in addiction & mental health recovery through extended care non-clinical treatment and lived experience; knowing what it’s like to be in crisis, we can now help others recover. We co-produce/co-develop a ‘bridge to normal living’, helping the most vulnerable of people in Yorkshire (and further afield) rebuild themselves with practical & emotional support using an abstinence-based non-clinical socially prescribed care plans.

A huge shoutout to all the lads who continue to give their time, energy and commitment volunteering down at Lock Lane Gardens.

They’re there every Tuesday and Thursday, working hard to keep the gardens looking their best, but their dedication goes well beyond the usual sessions. Over the recent hot weeks, they’ve also been making sure the animals are fed and the plants are watered and looked after.

There’s loads happening at the moment too, including the restoration of the Roman head and helmet, the aviary project, and creating new animal feeders, alongside plenty of other jobs around the gardens.

It’s fantastic to see the pride, teamwork and commitment everyone puts into helping such a brilliant community space.

And we’re nowhere near finished yet… there’s plenty more planned for the autumn!

Well done to everyone involved. Your hard work really does make a difference.

🔥 I’VE NOT BEEN SILENT FOR NO REASON…

Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on something BIG.

I’m proud to announce that Phoenix Recovery Hub and Reflections Yorkshire CIC are joining forces to bring the Fresh Start Community Hub to Doncaster.

A place offering practical essentials, hot meals, budgeting support, recovery and wellbeing groups, peer support, volunteering opportunities and — most importantly — connection without judgement.

Sometimes people just need that first bit of support to start rebuilding.

Practical support. Positive connections. New beginnings.

🔥 Fresh Start Community Hub — coming soon to Doncaster.

Another fantastic day at The Unit!

The lads brought plenty of energy and enthusiasm to today’s session, getting involved from the start and giving everything a proper go.

It was brilliant to see everyone working together, helping each other out and building their confidence along the way. There was a real sense of teamwork throughout the day, with everyone learning new skills and taking pride in what they accomplished.

Plenty of hard work, laughs and positive energy all round. Another really enjoyable and productive session, and a massive well done to everyone involved!

The lads did an absolutely fantastic job today helping out at the care home with some much-needed gardening.

Everyone got stuck in, worked brilliantly as a team and took real pride in making the outdoor space look its best. It was great to see their hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to help others in the community.

A huge well done to all the lads involved today. You should be proud of what you achieved!

A brilliant day of teamwork, community spirit and making a positive difference.

We are incredibly thankful for all the support we have received so far for Reflections Yorkshire CIC and Phoenix. Every donation, share and message of encouragement helps us continue creating opportunities, support and positive change for people in our community.

Please take a look at our project and, if you are able to, consider making a donation. Every contribution will help us continue developing the support, activities and opportunities we provide.

Thank you for believing in what we are trying to achieve and for supporting Reflections Yorkshire CIC and Phoenix.

Another fantastic educational visit today!

It was a real privilege to spend time sharing our experiences and talking openly about addiction, recovery and rehabilitation.

These visits give us the chance to use both our professional knowledge and lived experience to help others understand the realities of addiction, while breaking down some of the stigma that still surrounds it.

Most importantly, we want people to see that recovery is possible. With the right support, positive opportunities and people who believe in you, lives really can change.

A massive thank you to the Evan Cornish Foundation and the Randal Foundation.

Every conversation helps raise awareness, challenge perceptions and, hopefully, inspire a little more hope.

Sometimes the loudest criticism we hear doesn't come from other people. It comes from ourselves.

If your first reaction after making a mistake is to think, "I'm so stupid," or "I should have known better," pause for a moment.

Ask yourself:

Would I speak to someone I love in that way?

If the answer is no, perhaps it's time to wonder where that inner voice came from.

Recovery doesn't end when you leave Reflections.

For many people, leaving residential treatment is the beginning of a new chapter—one of understanding yourself, strengthening relationships, and building a life that feels meaningful.

As Therapeutic Lead at Reflections, I've seen the courage it takes to begin that journey. If you'd like continued one-to-one therapeutic support after leaving, I'd be honoured to walk alongside you.

As a thank you to former Reflections residents, I'm offering 50% off my standard psychotherapy fee.

Sessions take place in the familiar surroundings of Reflections.

If you'd like to find out more or have a confidential chat, please get in touch.
