DrMz Juniors

DrMz Juniors A weekly youth group for young people in year 6 to support with the transition to secondary school. Our sessions run from 10-12 on Saturdays twice a month.

Dr Mz Juniors is a weekly drop in group for young people in year 6, held every Saturday morning between 10 - 12 at Carmarthen Youth Project. Our aim is to nurture confidence, resilience and independence. As well as encouraging peer relationships and new friendships. We also have a group of our older members who attend to mentor and support the sessions. The hope is that these younger members will

go on to become members of our main Youth Drop In provision and make lasting friendships to take into their secondary school years.

Yesterday during our Juniors session, we decorated tote bags with fabric pens, took part in some research about the transition into secondary school and some of our members volunteered their time watering our garden.

On Saturday, we had way too much fun making potion bottles.
We also made some delicious Easter nest cakes and entered the Dr Mz annual Sunflower competition.
