What a fabulous weekend that was! Thank you so much to everyone who supported our event on Sunday afternoon. Lucy gave a truly inspiring talk about triathlon, ultra running and Move Against Cancer Charity. The event raised £850 for our charity and enabled loads of networking….not to mention eating of cake!!

On Saturday Lucy took part in the inaugural Marreg ultra run, organised by the Narbeth Nobblers. A fantastic event blessed with amazing weather and made perfect by seamless organisation.

Lucy’s journey is anything but ordinary — from a junior doctor who entered her first triathlon on a dare, to a 14-time Iron-distance champion, ultra runner, and oncologist 🏃‍♀️💫

In 2025, she conquered the legendary Spine Race 🏔️ — a brutal 268-mile non-stop challenge — and went on to set a Fastest Known Time on the South West Coast Path (solo, self-supported!).

Beyond sport, Lucy is passionate about helping others, co-founding and supporting Move Against Cancer, empowering people affected by cancer to live active, fulfilling lives 💛

The next 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer meet up is April 25th but don’t forget that we have the inspirational Lucy Gossage on Ultra Running and Move Against Cancer Charity event on 19th April.

Our 5K Your Way ambassadors enjoying Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve parkrun the February meet up last Saturday.

Our next (March) meet up will be Saturday 28th March. We meet alongside Teifi Marshes Parkrun in the Cilgerran wildlife centre car park from 8.45 and we’re here to support anyone affected by cancer. After parkrun we stay for coffee and chat at the Glasshouse cafe. Come along on 28th even if you’d just like to find out more!

Our Ambassadors will be at the Wildlife Centre in Cilgerran this Saturday for February's 5K Your Way Meet Up. Come along and see what we're all about, and how we can support you whether you're living with or beyond cancer, caring for someone or otherwise affected by cancer.

When? Saturday 28th February (and the last Saturday of every month)
What time? from 08.45 a.m. in the car park and then in the Glass House Cafe
Who? Anyone affected by cancer
What's expected of me? Absolutely nothing - come along for a chat. We meet up alongside Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve parkrun and if you are interested in walking jogging or running some or all of parkrun we can support you, but we're just as happy having a natter in the fresh air.

The other side of 5K Your Way. Move Against Cancer - the MOVE Programme for 13-30 year olds with cancer.

In the last 10 years, over 650 young people have already completed this programme and thanks to the support of our donors and partners, capacity is increasing and reach is extending. The digitally-led cancer support that we’ve been doing for a decade is about to get bigger and better - watch this space! Can you believe it - it's 5K Your Way. day this Saturday.

Last Saturday of February and we'll be at the Welsh Wildlife Centre Carpark from 08.45 alongside Teifi Marshes Nature Reserve parkrun to support ANYONE affected by cancer, whether you want to get involved with parkrun UK in any way, or just want to chat to someone who understands, we're there for you.
