Sadly people still throw and dump rubbish. The photograph shows the amount of litter a few volunteers collected and cleared from around our villages over a few days in February. With more people helping we could make a bigger difference to our local area and the environment we all need to look after.
Can you help as a one off time or occasionally?
Perhaps as part of the national event of "The Great British Spring Clean" in March.
https://www.keepbritaintidy.org/our-work/eliminating-litter/great-british-spring-clean
The Great British Spring Clean is the nation’s biggest mass-action environmental campaign. Each year, more than 400,000 volunteers clear litter from our streets, parks and beaches.

If you want to borrow litter pickers or help REG volunteers on a specific route get in touch. (Wendy 07258212215)

Spotted a Snow Goose amongst a flock of Canada geese on the River Ribble before Christmas and again on cold day this week!

Most of the Snow Geese present in Britain are individuals that have escaped from captivity, but a handful of genuine vagrants arrive with visiting Pink-Footed Geese. The breeding range extends from eastern Siberia, across arctic North America to Greenland.

If anyone wants to help REG with any of its gardening, litter picking or balsam bashing we would appreciate any help.

The litter pickers in the childrens playground have disappeared again. REG has replaced them 3 times now. Does anyone know where they are ? The bags are gone too but may have been thrown away by mistake .
