What a fantastic, festive afternoon we had yesterday, for our pupils and families. Huge thanks to everyone who organised it. A special mention to Mrs Rae… cracking costume!

Here’s a mini BNSA representative, having an absolute blast too. The gappy smile says it all.

There’s still time to donate- donations will be split between school and Sobell House. Many thanks to those who have already donated, or still plan to do so.

Can you help us raise £400 in 4 days?

🎄 Brize Norton Primary School🎄
“Brize Festive Dash”

On Tuesday 16th December we are asking all children to come to school wearing their most festive outfit – whether it is Santa, a reindeer or a Christmas present(!). The more imaginative, the better! KS1 and KS2 PRIZE to be won!

Then, at 1.30pm we hope you will join us for some festive fun as the children set off on their ‘festive dash’! We will be encouraging all children to complete 10 laps of the recreation ground to help raise money for charity!

Follow the link to donate:
https://www.justgiving.com/page/brize-festive-dash?utm_medium=FA&utm_source=CLOr

Or use the QR code… Cash donations also welcomed on the day.
Families and friends are welcome — cheering squads encouraged! Come and soak up the festive atmosphere as the children complete their interactive run, pose for photos in our Grotto photo booth and dodge snowballs!

Whether you’re cheering, enjoying a hot drink at Humble Bumbles or throwing snowballs, we do hope you’ll come along to enjoy this exciting event at the end of the festive term.

🔥 BRIZE’S BONFIRE NIGHT IS TOMORROW! 🔥

We will be open from 5.30pm on Thursday 6th November, fully stocked with hot drinks and sweet treats to keep your hands warm and your spirits high while the bonfire blazes and the fireworks fly.

🔥 Bonfire lit at 6.15pm
🎆 Fireworks at 6.45pm (thanks to our brilliant neighbour!)

🍲 Soup from the church (homemade and heart-warming)
🍷 Bar run by members of the Brize Norton Village Committee (they know their way around a bottle opener)
☕ And us... your friendly sugar and caffeine dealers

✨ Sparklers welcome (bring your own and supervise the chaos)
🐾 We love your four legged friends, but this one’s for the humans. NO DOGS allowed on the Rec
🦺 The Village Committee will be there in high-vis, keeping things smooth and safe

We know RAF Brize Norton are hosting their own fireworks event for service personnel and families tomorrow night, huge love to them for keeping the skies and the sparks flying. If you’re not able to attend theirs, or just fancy a village style knees up, we would love to welcome you at The Rec.

All funds raised go straight back into Brize Norton, supporting local charities, organisations, and small businesses.

Come hungry, come wrapped up, and come ready for a proper Brize night out.

🎄✨ A Community Christmas Market Stallholder Callout! ✨🎄

Humble Bumble Café and The Elder Bank Hall are joining forces to bring a little festive joy to Brize Norton, and we would love our neighbours to be part of it 💛

📅 Saturday 6th December
🕛 12pm to 4pm
📍 The Elder Bank Hall

We are inviting local crafters, makers, and creative folk to book a table and share their handmade gifts, festive creations, and seasonal treats. Whether you’re a hobbyist, a small business, or part of a local club, this is a celebration of the talent and heart within our community.

🧶 The Humble Bumble Craft Club will be there too, showcasing their beautiful handmade pieces and spreading a little extra cheer. Come see what our hive of creativity has been working on!

🎁 Second Hand Toy Tables
We are also opening up space for families to sell gently used toys, no business sellers, just neighbours helping neighbours. It’s a lovely way to clear out the toy box and help others find affordable, pre loved gifts before Christmas.

🧺 All stalls will be indoors at The Elder Bank Hall, but if interest is high, we may open up outdoor gazebo spots too.

This market is all about community, creativity, and connection. More details coming soon, but for now, if you would like to book a table, we would love to hear from you 👀🎄

The big count up has been completed (thank you to Kate Grant… what a muddle that must have been!) We are thrilled to have raised £3168 from our stalls at the Village Bash and bar at the 150th celebration. Thank you to every single one of you who supported the school.

This total does not include our gin sales- let us know if you’d still like to make a purchase. We have a limited number of bottles left 🥳

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped to made today a success! Several achy feet and very tired people, but worth it to see everyone enjoying themselves. Special mention to the littlies who helped set up, test things out and stayed until the very end. Super stars. ❤️
