💕 Neonatal play and support for families

Has your family experienced a stay in a neonatal unit?

A new monthly session at Todmorden Family Hub offers a chance to meet other families, enjoy some play time with your little one, and find support, friendship and understanding after your neonatal journey.

Hi! Just a quick message to let you all know Kit turned one yesterday! He was in NICU for 37 days after being born at 31+2 weeks. He loves his food and wants to climb everywhere! Thank you again for everything you all did for us last year, we won’t ever forget. Sarah, Greg & Kit x

Mireya celebrated her 3rd birthday last week and her mum send us this message. We hope she had a lovely day 💗

How is Mireya 3 today!!! Doesn’t seem two minutes since she was in NICU for a massive 96 days!!!
You became part of the family and always will hold a very special place in ours hearts ❤️

She had grown into such an amazing, confident, smart little girl who is absolutely thriving!

“Hi my son Freddie stayed on the unit from the 21st October 2024 until 29th December 2024. Born in Bradford on the 1st of October Weighing 1lb 13oz at 25+4 weeks.
He turned 2 last week thought I'd send an update 🙂 x”

My little boy has just turned 5, he was born in Middlesbrough but we are from Halifax and then brought back to Halifax when well enough !
Happy for you to share a picture of him.
He was in the nicu for 5 and a half months.
He was born at 24 weeks 5 days, and weighed 1 pound 12 when he was born xx

We just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone in NICU who looked after Maeve and helped us through those 5 weeks after her transfer from Hull.

She was so tiny at just 2lb 2oz, and we honestly don’t know what we would have done without you all. ❤️"

Cassius was born at 28 weeks gestation weighing 865g. He spent 9 weeks on the neonatal unit at Calderdale, being cared for by the most amazing team and for that we are forever thankful. For anyone going through a rough time right now, stay strong 💪 that team got me through some rough days and look at my boy now, turned 1 on Saturday and an absolute pleasure. Thankyou to you all once again for everything you did for my baby and my family last year ###xx
