Severn Valley Rescue “BBC Award Winning” Animal Rescue Charity in Shropshire. All visits must be pre-booked or for one of our special events.

Book to come and meet our rescue animals, walk a goat or an alpaca, cuddle a guinea pig, groom a donkey, handle a ferret.

Christmas Donkeys with Mrs Clause, and meet over 200 other rescue animals.
Just £10 per person with each paying child over 12 months old receiving a gift from Mrs Clause, and each adult receiving a warm “Pain au chocolate” and hot drink.

Come and meet our baby donkey, baby goats, plus our miniature Christmas donkeys at the end of November and also have the opportunity to walk a goat or an alpaca (weather permitting)

You can feed the goats, cuddle a rabbit or guinea pig and throw carrots to the pigs.

Hear a story from Mrs Clause about the magical Christmas donkey.

There will be lots of local crafts on sale too, all hand made beautiful gifts with the proceeds going to the charity.

All spaces must be pre-booked.

This is taking place the last two weekends of November only.

Happy 1st November!

Jack is enjoying his Sunday morning breakfast- how absolutely gorgeous does he look?

Now remember, Jack may look like a Pygmy goat - but he thinks he’s a sheep.
So when you meet him, please don’t mention the obvious goat appearance to him 😂

And a huge thank you to everyone who supported us this year.

We have the absolute best visitors, volunteers and animals and we hope to see a lot of you again for our Christmas weekend in November ❤️❤️

I can’t believe that we have only have two more days of pumpkins left.

Just two days.

And then…. We all know what happens on the 1st November 🤦‍♀️

🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄

So let’s enjoy the last two days of Halloween music and feeding pumpkins to pigs mayhem, because the festive season isn’t just creeping up on us.

It’s leaping out from behind a bush shouting “Boo!” And “Ho Ho Ho” all at once!

And I’m not ready for Santa and the elves just yet……. 😂

So let’s just play the Adams family theme tune a few more times please, I’m not really sick of hearing it 🙏 😛

We had a young chicken with a broken leg.😭

So we took the necessary steps and did what all responsible poultry owners do when they have an injured bird that’s struggling to walk ……

We moved it into to the house 🤣🤣

After a couple of weeks of “literal” bed rest, on my teenage daughters bed, chick is now recovered and moving back down to the yard

Honestly- I do question my life choices sometimes 🤣🤣

Gorgeous tortoise “Manuel” having a nice warm soak this week.

It’s really important that our little tortoise friends have bath in warm water, not only does it help keep their skin and shell in good condition, it also helps keep them hydrated as they soak up water through their bottom.

Manuel enjoys soak time a lot 🙂

We just wanted to post a reminder of a little success story.

We work with a highly reputable rescue team in North Cyprus- and they do amazing work. We usually try to only take the disabled dogs as that’s where our expertise lies - but this time we took Bailey…

Bailey was found on the streets, with a wound so large in her neck, you could put a human fist inside it. The team out there took her off the streets, spend months treating her, and got her back to a condition to find a new home.

For two years they looked for a home in Cyprus. The options became so limited, that they may have had to turn her back on the streets.

But then, we agreed to take her here. They funded her flights, she had all the tests necessary, and she made her way to Shropshire.

Within days of arriving, she found the perfect home! And she has been there 18 months now.

And she is the most loved and treasured dog.

Sometimes, you just need that one special person, to see the special in a that one dog.

Bailey has a completely new life now, and that’s down to the brave and talented team in North Cyprus, the wonderful supporters and the incredible people who fell in love with her. ❤️

What a team everyone makes x
