Book in to come and meet our rescue animals, walk a goat or an alpaca, cuddle a guinea pig, groom a donkey, handle a ferret or attend one of our educational groups.

It’s been a whole year since Manuel the tortoise came to live with us….. he loves this warmer weather as it means he can enjoy the garden.
But he’s very good at hiding.

Many times you hear us shouting “Manuel! Manuel!” in a panic outside, only to find him about 2 feet away from where we started looking in the first place, having dug himself a little hidey hole.

I’m very keen for the day to arrive when he finally answers me back… “I’m here you fool!”

And don’t worry, for those who are eagerly awaiting to criticise and say “why would you let him out if you lose him?” He is safe, he is secure…. But it’s just like that moment where you tap every pocket thinking you lost your phone, and it was in your bag all along.
You know something is safe, but just in that moment…… panic.

So no doubt Manuel will continue to enjoy the summer, and I will continue to have a mini panic attack every day. And that’s just how it is 🙂

They are very cool …. And perfect for putting those nice cold cocktails on in the lovely weather we have coming up…. I better test one out.

That’s my excuse for having a cocktail and I’m sticking to it 😂

Two legged miracle Tipsy had a little trip to Bewdley Pet Supplies to choose some treats last week.

She does enjoy a little trip out in the car - but people do tend to stop and stare at a two legged pooch hopping along. And not always in a good way.

However the staring is even worse when that two legged pup decides to stop and have a p**p right by the main road with everyone watching 🤦‍♀️ Thanks Tipsy!

Thank goodness for poo bags 😂

But she still got to choose her favourite chews as it’s not her fault - when you gotta go, you gotta go. Even superstars p**p you know 😉

In Memory of Belinda Fleming

Everyone at Severn Valley Rescue would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the family and friends of Belinda Fleming for the generous collection made in her memory.
Belinda was a true animal lover whose kindness and compassion touched many lives. We are deeply honoured that her husband, Brent, chose Severn Valley Rescue as the recipient of the funds raised, over £1,100, knowing our charity was close to Belinda’s heart.
These donations will help us continue caring for animals in need, creating a lasting legacy that reflects Belinda’s love for animals. While no words can ease the pain of losing someone so special, we hope Brent and all who knew Belinda can take comfort in knowing that her memory will continue to make a difference to countless animals.
We would also like to extend a special thank you to Homelands Park for their generous contribution and for the support, care and friendship they have shown to Brent during this difficult time. Your kindness has been greatly appreciated.

A little Archie update for you all….. he has gone from being an unwanted disabled street dog in North Cyprus to becoming a much loved member of the family.

We are so thrilled for him.

What a perfect end to his story.

A huge thank you to everyone who shared his post as it helped get his story out there and find him his family.

You never know when that one share is going to make all the difference…. ❤️❤️

We have an open weekend coming up on the 27/28th June, so why not book in and come along and meet some of our amazing rescue animals - as well as some of the smallest goat kids you will ever see! ❤️❤️

Details as follows …..

We are open this June! Billingsley near Bridgnorth from 27/28th.
Meet over 230 animals! Cuddle the hand reared rabbits, baby guinea pigs, brand new baby goats, our baby donkeys and see all of the other animals.

Goat walks and alpaca walks subject to weather on the day.

From £20 per car for up to 2 people, £30 for four…. and this includes entrance..
ferret meet and greet
Rabbit and guinea cuddles (only the ones who enjoy it)
donkey snuggles
entrance to the Pygmy goat paddock
Summer trail with prize for the children

Feed the goats, alpaca and sheep £1 a tub.

Meet our bottle fed baby goats! And our brand new twin goats, Brooks and Dunn with their mum ❤️ and the teeny baby Pygmy goats OMG!

Arrive any time 10:30 - 11:30, we close at 1pm nice and quiet and plenty of animal cuddles guaranteed!

Drinks and snacks available as is a small gift shop, disabled toilet and most areas accessible by wheelchair and pushchair.

No dogs allowed as there are free roaming animals - if you don’t like animals this is not your place….. there are over 230 rescues here x

All spaces must be booked - no walk ins x

By booking in you will be helping us raise money towards our winter recovery fund 🙏
