💙 £4,230 RAISED FOR MERLE'S WISH! 💙

What an incredible achievement! Thanks to the amazing generosity of everyone involved in our 4th Annual Merle's Wish Football Tournament, we are absolutely delighted to announce that together we raised a fantastic £4,230 to help support the work of Merle's Wish.

This year's tournament was our biggest turnout yet, and what a day it was! There was fierce competition from start to finish, plenty of closely fought games, and some fantastic football on display.

🏆 Congratulations to 'Merle's Wish' FC, who were crowned Merle's Wish Trophy Champions. A cracking goal from Reece Williams secured the victory in a brilliant final. The team captain Kirk Williams kept the team in shape throughout the day. A huge well done also to Pompey Ringers, who put in an outstanding performance throughout the day and finished as worthy runners-up.

🏅 The Consolation Cup was won by Dal's Destroyers, last year's Merle's Wish Trophy champions. They edged out Michael Withnall & Pompey Originals in a thrilling final that went all the way to penalties after an incredibly close contest. Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic game.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the day such a huge success – every player, supporter, volunteer, sponsor and everyone who donated in any way. Your kindness, generosity and support mean the world to us. Thank you to Michael Withnall Dean Williams Adam Fisher - Tonks The Property People for donating some of the funds from your rowing challenge.

Together, you are changing lives, and from all of us at Merle's Wish, we can't thank you enough. 💙

We’re delighted to announce that 14 teams have now signed up for our football tournament – what an incredible response!

MERLE’S WISH ANNUAL 5-A-SIDE TOURNAMENT 2026 ⚽️

We are so excited to announce this year’s Merle’s Wish Annual 5-a-Side Football Tournament, taking place on:
Cleobury Mortimer Playing Fields
(outside the Sports & Social Club)
Saturday 18th July

Registration: 9:00am
First Match Kick Off: 10:00am

This year (as per last year) we will have TWO leagues with play-offs, promising a fantastic day of football, fun and laughter....

Teams can consist of:
• 7 players
• Plus 1 non-playing coach

There are NO age limits — young or old, everyone is welcome to get involved! 💙

💰 Entry Fee:
£10 per person
(£70 per team)

What an absolutely incredible day at the Merle’s Wish Annual Golf Day 2026! 💙

This year’s turnout was our biggest yet — every single place was taken — and we are truly so grateful for all the support shown to Merle’s Wish. As this month would have been our beautiful Mum Merle’s heavenly 65th birthday, it made the day feel even more special to see it so well supported.

Lisa Henning Jody Lilwall Wade Davies, and Duane Arthur would like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, supported and helped make the day such a success.

A huge special thank you to Zac Williams, who worked incredibly hard getting everyone involved and helping raise such an amazing amount of money with his magic betting skills!

And what a competition it was! HUGE congratulations to our winner, Lee Sparks, who travelled all the way from Portsmouth to be there and scored an impressive 26 points!

But it certainly wasn’t an easy win — Lee and Wade Walker went into a playoff that took FOUR holes to decide the winner! What an amazing game under so much pressure. Huge well done to both of you!
