Keeping our town tidy one rubbish bag at a time! Want to volunteer with us? Drop us a message! 💚

This week we've been out on the B4363 and on Castle Walk again, picking up 6 bags of litter and clearing more leaf mulch and w**ds from the gullies.

Litter has also been particularly bad on the High Street this week, with Shropshire Council seemingly ignoring it each morning, but we're doing our best to clear up!

Just home from a few days in Lancashire 😜. Couldn’t resist taking a pic of their bins which are definitely more ‘fit for purpose’ than ours 🤔 Chum Pam obligingly posed to hep you understand their size - she is 5’2!

We're sad to see waste has been building up in a couple of spots in town over the past few days.

We know waste on Cartway is a regular issue, but we understand some residents have difficulties disposing of their waste appropriately, so if you know who is leaving it, please have a friendly word with them.

Both issues have been reported to Shropshire Council, so we're hopeful the waste will be removed soon, and that permanent solutions can be put in place to make waste disposal easier for everyone.

We've been working hard this morning with our sister group, Bridgnorth Community Garden Project, giving Castle Walk and Stoneway Steps another much-needed tidy!

Weeds have been pulled, gullies have been cleared, leaves have been swept and new plants have been planted, so between our two groups, we're doing everything we can to help.

We're a friendly bunch, so please get in touch with either group if you'd like to get involved! 💚

A great big thank you to Tasley Village Hall social committee for donating £100 to us. We appreciate it so much 💚💚

We've been out this morning tidying up Castle Walk, sweeping the path and pulling up w**ds. There's still lots to do, but we couldn't stand to see the jewel in Bridgnorth's crown looking so neglected.

As with all pavements, Castle Walk remains the responsibility of Shropshire Council to sweep and w**d, but we do the best we can to help!

After many months of reporting the fire-damaged bin on the High Street, we're pleased to see a replacement has finally been installed!

Thank you to Shropshire Council, but we're still waiting for many more missing bins to be replaced around the town. We regularly find remaining bins overflowing, showing demand is beyond capacity.

As a group, we're discussing ways to get this persistent issue addressed, but in the meantime, please enjoy this new bin, and make good use of it!

Judy has been out picking around Dudmaston, collecting two bags of bottles, cans, takeaway bags and cups from just a short stretch of her rural lane.

We're always sad to see how much litter people leave in the countryside. Our green and blue spaces should be litter-free for all to enjoy, and we all have a responsibility to keep it that way.

Next time you see someone throw rubbish out of their car window, give them a good honk - they might think twice!
