We are a not for profit membership organisation run by surfers for surfers. We are here for the support & development of Surfing in England and proudly serve our sport and our membership of surfers, surf coaches, surf clubs and surf schools. We have been the National Governing Body for surfing in England since 2017.

Introducing our new Grenadier Quartermaster 👀

Our new partnership with INEOS Grenadier has given us a vehicle built to support everything we do on the road and along the coast.

The grenadier will be instrumental to our operations, from towing our trailers and supporting our lifeguards to getting our team and equipment to events across England.

With challenging coastal terrain and plenty of boards on the roof, it’s ready to take us further and help us reach more places, whatever the conditions.

A huge thank you to INEOS Grenadier for loaning us the Quartermaster for the year ahead 🙌

Surfing gives us so much more than just good waves 🌊

For so many of our community, surfing is a lifeline - a reason to get outside, breathe and reconnect with what truly matters. Mental health isn’t always visible, but the support of a community that sees you and understands you can make all the difference.

We’re launching a new series, showcasing the Faces of our Membership, and we dive into this with our first story from Angie, the secretary of Saunton Surf Sisters.

If you’re looking to make new friends in and out of the water, and to feel more connected to your surf community, then your local surf club is a brilliant place to start. New faces, new friendships, and people who understand exactly why paddling out can be so important 💙

🔥 IT’S officially ON for the 2026 Dryrobe English SUP & Longboard Championships, supported by the Caravan and Motorhome Club 🏆🌊

📍 Watergate Bay
📅 Saturday 5th September

The best SUP and Longboard athletes from across England are heading to Watergate Bay to battle it out for the prestigious title of 2026 English Champion 🤙

We have an epic surf forecast heading for Cornwall, so expect lots of action and big scores from our seasoned competitors. Spectators warmly welcomed!

The top 3 safety tips for this summer ☀️

1️⃣ check the weather and tides from a trusted source like before you go
2️⃣ always surf with a mate, or tell someone your plan - where you are and when you’ll be back
3️⃣ make sure you have the right kit for the conditions including picking the right wetsuit

Know your limits and always aim to surf on a lifegaurded beach. The sea can be unpredictable, even for seasoned professionals 🌊

If you get into trouble, call 999 and ask for the coastguard 📞
