Brading Youth Club

Come and join us on Brading Community Meadow this Saturday between 10am and 1pm for fun, food and friendship. Cook on an open fire, enjoy nature based activities, spend time with the animals. Free for all and everyone is welcome. Children under 8 must bring and adult with them.

Phew! What a busy time we’ve had over the past few months. All our clubs, youth club, non contact boxing, DofE and Mardi Gras are well attended.
Our Meadow is well on the way to producing our veg and fruits all planted by children and volunteers.
The baby lambs are growing fast. 🐑
Children playing games outside during the youth sessions (without phones).
My plot and plenty plants taken home for children to grow.
Our Mardi Gras is coming along nicely and children are making their own costumes with very little help from adults. The dance routines are near to perfection. Parade is in Ryde 4th July.
The non contact boxing is still a knockout with the children and DofE are going for bronze, silver and gold.
All clubs open as usual during the half term.

It’s been a busy few weeks at the youth club.
Tuesday non-contact boxing is still a good hit with the children!
DofE sessions also on Tuesday is certainly going from strength to strength.
Thursday and Friday youth clubs are continuing to be well supported with our 8 to 16 year olds.
Also on Friday is our Mardi Gras session and the team are getting ready for the 4th July parade in Ryde.
Our My Plot scheme was a huge success as children planted their choice of plant to take home to look after.

It was St George’s Day yesterday and we celebrated by having scones, jam and cream on the meadow. A true English tradition. We put the cream on top on the jam!!

I am so proud & happy to belong to Brading DofE: our YP, although nervous, did themselves proud. Listening to their comments & conversations with HRH the Duke was a privilege for me. They are confident, respectful and thoughtful YP, with wonderful futures ahead of them.
