Loving Sai Rams to All
With Swami's grace, we held our monthly online Bal Vikas Classes on Sunday 17th May

The session started with multi-faith prayers. The session continued with a guided Yoga and Silent Sitting Session.

Group 1 explored the significance of the Five Elements, beginning with a recap on the importance of gratitude. This helped set the tone for the lesson, encouraging reflection on appreciating what we receive. They then deepened their understanding by discussing how the Five Elements give selflessly, without expecting anything in return, reinforcing the value of gratitude and humility. The session concluded with learning the prayer Aumkaram Bindhu Samyuktam, where they explored its meaning and spiritual significance.Group 1 explored the beautiful themes of devotion and contentment 🌸✨

Students learned that true happiness comes from appreciating what we already have, rather than always wanting more. Through discussions and reflections, they explored the importance of humility, gratitude, and understanding the difference between good and bad desires 🙏

The session also included bhajan practice, prayers, and thoughtful homework activities where students will share examples of desires and write the bhajan along with its meaning 📖🎶

Groups 2 and 3 began by practising the prayer “Samastha Lokha Sukhino Bhavantu,” helping them reflect on wishing peace and happiness for all beings. They then explored the significance of key festivals and observances, including Hanuman Jayanti, Good Friday, Tamil New Year, and Vishu, gaining an understanding of their spiritual and cultural importance. The lesson concluded with a continuation of their study of the Mahabharata, after which they were assigned to complete their gratitude tree in preparation for Easwaramma Day.Groups 2 & 3 explored the significance of Buddha Poornima 🌕 and learned about the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path 🪷

Students also reflected on Eeshwaramma Day and how Swami lovingly fulfilled His mother’s three wishes — providing drinking water, a school, and a hospital ❤️ We discussed why these acts of service are so important to society.

The session concluded with the continuation of the inspiring story of the Mahabharat 📖✨

In celebration of Buddha Poornima, the children were taught a new Sarva Dharma Bhajan

Loving Sai Rams,

The devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Centre of Bradford celebrated Aradhana Mahotsavam on Thursday 23rd April with 108 Names of Swami and Bhajans. We use this day to think about and commemorate Baba's life. We remember the lessons he taught and that his life was a message for us.

“Love alone can reveal the Divinity latent in all. Love is God. Live in love. Love lives by giving and forgiving; Self lives by getting and forgetting. Love is selflessness; Selfishness is lovelessness. Do not waste your life pursuing the narrow interests of the self. Love! Love! Become what you truly are―the embodiments of love.”

Celebrating the divine birth of Lord Rama on the auspicious occasion of Rama Navami

Yesterday the devotees of Sri Sathya Sai Centre celebrated Sri Rama Navami. The evening was filled with prayers, devotional songs and bhajans

This day, the birth of Sri Rama is celebrated in all lands. Rama had deed, word and thought, body, speech and mind, ever pure and totally free from blemish. Really speaking, one ought to revere the story of Rama as a profound allegory. Every act and actor in that story attracts attention and gets imprinted on the memory because the allegory is personal to each of us. It is often said that Rama followed dharma at all times. This is not the correct way of describing him. He did not follow dharma, he was dharma. What he thought, spoke, and did was dharma and is dharma forever.

Loving Sai Rams to All
With Swami's grace, we held our monthly online Bal Vikas Classes on Sunday 22nd February, which was our second class of this academic year

The session started with multi-faith prayers. The session continued with a guided Yoga and Silent Sitting Session.

Group 1 have been focusing on their prayer, with some new students joining this year. This month, they focused on the Food Prayer Haridaata. They looked at why the food prayer is important and why being mindful whilst eating is important. For this month's takeaway, they are reflecting on the importance of healthy eating.

Groups 2 and 3, in preparation for the National Eawaramma Day Celebrations, were discussing the importance of gratitude. This year's theme was Gratitude- the Highest Virtue.

In honour of Mahashivaratri the children were taught a new Shiva Bhajan to end the session.
