Unfortunately our centre have another upcoming closure. This will be a full closure to conclude works to our building as there will be no power while systems are replaced and upgraded. The planned works will take place 5th September - 19th September.

We apologise once again for any inconvenience caused but is outwith our control. The works planned will be highly beneficial to the building and will mean our solar panels can also finally be switched on, helping us to lower our energy running costs and work towards a more sustainable building.

We have informed all groups of the situation to give them time to plan ahead. If the dates change, we will make sure we update on Facebook and mail all groups.

Please ensure your group has the correct mail details and you are regularly checking your mails to avoid anyone missing any important information going forward.

Once again we thank you, the community for your continued support at what is a very difficult time for us as without your patience, we would not have had the motivation to pass our first year of ownership. Thank you for keeping our spirits up. This is what can be achieved when community come together.

This time last year, 15th Aug was our official entry date for the Bonnybridge Community Hub committee owning the building under community ownership.

We have been through many trials and tribulations over the past year and still have many more ahead of us.

As it was our first year we had hoped to have an open day but with news of more works to be done to the building, the committee decided to have our open day when works are complete to give it the quality it deserves.

We have seen a lot of substantial changes over the year not only to the building, but the feeling within the community as we strengthen and become more bonded.

We would like to take the time to thank our community for standing by us in our hardest of times with the hopes that all will settle once works are complete.

An extra special note should also go to our hard working and dedicated volunteer management committee. A very small group of volunteers who are putting many many hours of their time, giving their all trying to make this work for generations to come despite having families, other charities to run and work commitments.

We are struggling to cover all the hours ourselves and can't do it alone. We urgently need more volunteers to assist our committee running the building or sadly they will burn out.

If you think you can help be part of something special and save our centre for generations to come, (with ground maintenance, reception area, gardening duties or fund-raising events) please don't hesitate to get in touch. We'd love to have you on board!

Again a massive well done to the BCHub committee Arlene Graham, Jennifer Cochrane, Teresa Cochrane, Jennifer McNaught, Reta Scott, Kenina Williamson, John Giovanacci, Lauren Baird and Keith Graham to get us through our first year and hopefully for many years to come! 👏👏👏👏👏👏

Looking for something to make you smile from ear to ear and support local talent at the same time? ACT Theatre School are showcasing local young talent in their show at the Dobbie Hall. The children have been practising so hard and we can confirm they all sound amazing! We are sure they will all shine on the day and hope they enjoy every moment. Heart Wise will be running sessions for free with full support from our hub as we believe learning the skills to save lives should be something important that everyone should know. 🍓🤤 Some freshly picked strawberries from our garden shared with everyone at ROOTS Food Bank and Community Events Happy Mondays Club. They were delicious and was nice to share with everyone.

First entries to our Christmas competition are in! Get involved! Get your entries at Bonnybridge Community Hub and Bonnybridge Library. Hand them into our Hub before August 5th. The winner gets their drawing made into a Christmas light AND gets to switch the light on for Bonnybridge at Christmas time! 💥💥💥 BIG NEWS!! 💥💥💥

Design a Christmas Light for Bonnybridge and see you design come to life when we get it custom made and displayed outside our Hub AND be invited to switch on the Christmas lights this year! Competition now open to all children. Paper copies will be made available in our hub and local businesses. We are still looking for more business sponsors so feel free to get in touch if you would like to donate!
