Sadly our works have encountered unexpected delays meaning our Hub won't be re-opening when anticipated.

Unfortunately we have had to share the news with all groups we will be closed for a further two weeks.

***PLEASE CHECK IN WITH ALL RUNNING GROUPS SITUATION AS TO WHETHER THEY HAVE CANCELLED OR RELOCATED FOR THE TIME BEING.***

The cost of Bonnybridge Community Hub being closed for such a lengthly time period is having a heavy toll both financially for the centre and to the impact it is having on the groups.

We hope that our community can help support both groups and our committee as much as possible during this difficult time.

Please be rest assured that once works are complete it will all have been worth the wait to everyone concerned as not only will it reduce running costs, it helps us work towards a more sustainable eco friendly building and we will have warmer halls in winter this year!

This was not the news we hoped to share but we want to be transparent with you all as our community are the biggest part of our journey. We are here for both the good news and the not so good news, keeping you informed as much as possible.

As always we thank the community who have been so understanding with the continued support and local businesses such as Bonnybridge Golf Club and local churches for stepping up to accommodate some of our groups during the closure.

We so look forward to seeing the Hub being back to it's normal busy buzzing building again when everyone will return in two weeks time (should the remainder of the works go to plan🤞)

Apologies for any inconvenience but these are essential works and will hopefully make a lasting impact on the Hub for all including it's users. All groups should be informed by now but please do pass the word on incase anyone is not aware. Thank you to all for your patience in this matter, we look forward to welcoming you all back soon.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION. PLEASE READ ALL INFO ***

Not exactly the update we want to be sharing but we have to share the good with bad to keep you all up to date with our progress. These works however are necessary to connect our solar panels and complete installation of our new heating system 👇👇👇

After the news our games hall would be closed for four weeks, we have been now been informed there will be an additional FULL CENTRE CLOSURE for two weeks commencing Monday 4th May. 👇👇👇👇👇👇

‼️PLEASE NOTE THE HUB WILL OPEN FOR VOTING ONLY THURSDAY 7th MAY BUT REMAINS CLOSED TO ALL GROUPS.‼️👇👇👇👇👇👇

This will be a testing time for us and groups as it will severely impact our income and their attendance due to no groups running for such a long period of time. Our committee will now be looking at other ways to fundraise outwith the centre and how best to support groups on their return in the hopes they have had impact to their numbers. You, the community can also show your support to both the groups and the Hub itself.👇👇👇👇👇

Recently we have been sprucing up parts of the hub with a fresh lick of paint starting with the reception area.

Our corridors have sat untouched for many years with incomplete graffiti art. We decided we'd like to start a-fresh and add our own touches to the corridors so we had the task of sourcing the amount of paint needed to cover such a large area.

With thanks to local painter and decorator Ewan Cooper who identified how much materials would be required.

A massive thank you to Dulux Decorator Centre Stirling and Falkirk who were only too happy to donate the paint to our project.

We are looking forward to the work beginning and to share the project completion with you all. Thank you once again to Lisa and staff who went above and beyond by also delivering the paint to us. 👏👏👏👏

‼️‼️ IMPORTANT REMINDER‼️‼️

Some of you may have noticed workmen in our building last week before the Easter break. These works were in preparation for installation of our new air source heat pumps as part of ScottishPowerEnergy Networks (SPEN) funding we had been awarded to have new eco friendly heating installed.

This unfortunately will mean a temporary closure of our gym hall and back corridors for approximately 4 weeks. All groups affected have been made aware for those we have information for. Sadly it will mean that football, basketball, badminton, large parties/events and table tennis will have to halt until works are complete.

We do apologise for the inconvenience to groups but it is outwith our control. We thank you as always for your patience in this matter and look forward to our hub and it's users reaping the benefit of the new system once complete. Please make sure you follow and interact with our page to avoid you missing out on any important information/updates such as these.

Please note the hub will be closed on the following dates. There may be additional closures in the coming weeks for our new heating to be installed but will do our upmost to make as little disruption to groups as possible.

What a fabulous community we have! Thanks to your votes in Community Choices we came first place and will be awarded the funds for our new equipment! This will make a massive difference to our Hub as we can accommodate bigger audiences for our free events and supply more seating and tables to booked events! We couldn't have done it without you!
