Are you one of those people who, like us, gets an immense sense of satisfaction when you find a solution and get something fixed? Do you have experience in repairing small electrical items or PAT testing? If so, would you like to join our friendly team and spend a couple of hours one afternoon a month fixing things? In return you will receive unlimited tea, coffee and homemade cake, and an overwhelming sense of achievement 😊

We are very lucky to have such a fabulous team of volunteers! Many of them fix things, but the repairs can't be done without those who welcome visitors and keep everyone going with refreshments. There are now at least 20 repair cafés across Greater Manchester and Lancashire and new ones are opening all the time! So if you can't make it to Horwich Repair Cafe, you should be able to find another one nearby. But if there isn't one near where you live, why not start one? You won't regret it!

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor and Mayoress of Horwich, Kevin and Irene McKeon to our 4th birthday repair cafe on Saturday May 16th 2026. Kevin has been a longstanding supporter of the work we do, and Irene even did a little bit of fixing with us on the day!

A repair cafe wouldn't be complete without tea and cake! There is always something homemade on offer, but once a year Just Gorjuss Cakes makes us something extra special to celebrate - she certainly didn't disappoint!
