We have very limited availability left in our popular First Class and First Class Dining carriages on "The Highland Peak" running on Saturday 19th September to Inverness.

Our Special train hauled by 45118 departs Linlithgow calling at Inverkeithing, Kirkcaldy, Ladybank and Perth before heading north to the Highland Capital via Aberdeen. The return journey takes on the steep gradients of Slochd and Drumochter, the highest point on the UK Rail Network!

Our train originates at Edinburgh Waverley with pick ups at Linlithgow, Falkirk Grahamston, Greenfaulds, Motherwell, Lockerbie and Carlisle.

Due to a late cancellation, we now have availability for one First Class Dining seat at a Table For 2 on 'The Thistle and Dragon' tour on Saturday 22nd August 2026, this is priced at £315. Already booked but want to upgrade to this more luxury experience, or missed out on booking your space? Then call us on 01592 872 392 to book this space!

UPDATE AS OF 16:45 - the First Class Dining seat has now sold, but the below is still possible if you still want to book, just give us a call.

We do additionally have a very small number of First Class (non dining) and Standard Class seats still available (less than 10 in each class), so if you want to still travel with us, then give us a call to book your seat - don't miss out on what should be an excellent day out to visit Chester or Llandudno!

Save The Date!

Step aboard our special train, running exclusively on Saturday 24th October, for a memorable day excursion along the beautiful Settle and Carlisle Railway towards our destination of Skipton and Keighley. Our train will be hauled to Carlisle by 37025 before a pair of LSL Class 20s take over for the trip along the S&C. 37025 will return the train to Scotland supported by a Class 47 for heating.

Picking up at Edinburgh, Linlithgow, Falkirk Grahamston, Greenfaulds, Motherwell, Lockerbie and Carlisle.
