What a fantastic day yesterday at the annual Working Together to Address Youth Homelessness Conference 2026 in Llandrindod Wells!

We were delighted that Caerphilly Youth Service’s Youth Homelessness Coordinator, Nichola Davies, had the opportunity to co-facilitate a session alongside Housing Policy Leads from Welsh Government.

An excellent opportunity for meaningful discussion, sharing good practice and learning from colleagues across the 22 local authorities and key third sector organisations.

The day reinforced the importance of partnership working, early intervention and prevention in tackling youth homelessness. By working together, sharing our experiences and strengthening partnerships, we can make a real difference to young people’s lives and help prevent homelessness before it happens.

Early intervention changes lives. Prevention creates brighter futures.

Homelessness among young people is a growing challenge that demands action. This helpline is the only out-of-hours service of its kind in Wales, offering urgent support when no one else can. Every call represents a story, a struggle, and a chance to make a difference.

Remember, there is always Plan B, C, D etc. 💪
