Matthew Walklin's Make a Smile Foundation Matt wrote the proposal for his charity while on his journey. Sadly, Matt completed his journey with cancer when he passed away on March 18th 2012.

We are setting up his charity in his memory.

Less than a month to go until our fabulous Family Fun Day! There will be loads to do! Shopping, cakes, games, live music and a fantastic Classic car display! The bar will be open as always and we really hope the sun pays us a visit this year but whatever the weather there will be lots of fun!

Thank you Sophie and Sam for honouring Matt's memory and raising money for his charity at your wedding. The first dance sweep stake raised £240. I know Matt was celebrating with us all and I'm sure he was thrilled that the dancefloor was full all night!

15 electric Heat Pads have been delivered to Velindre Cancer Centre. These are used to help chemotherapy patients before putting in cannulas or needles. Staff can no longer put patients hands in warm water for health and safety reasons. The pads also help to alleviate patients pain.

Oh yes it’s that time again!! Lots of things planned for this already and loads more to do! We will be looking for any kind donations of unopened toiletries, wine, raffle prizes and tombola gifts in the coming weeks so if you’re having a sort out please get in touch with us! It was a fantastic day last year despite the typical sumner rainy weather but hopefully the sun will shine on us this year!!
