A huge welcome to Boundary for Burnley FC Women’s defender Emma Siddall! ⚽🔥

Our U13 Vixen Ices had a brilliant training session focused on passing, movement, and teamwork — and what an opportunity it was to learn from a true local grassroots success story.

Emma’s journey shows exactly what hard work and dedication can achieve. Starting out in grassroots football at Staining, progressing through local clubs, then earning her move to Manchester City, and now proudly wearing the number 3 shirt for Burnley FC Women as a defender. 💜👏

The girls loved hearing about her experiences, advice, and positive attitude both on and off the pitch. Seeing players give back to the community and inspire the next generation means so much to everyone involved.

Thank you, Emma, for taking the time to support and encourage our young players — memories like this will stay with them for a long time! 🌟

FC rangers Vixen Tornadoes had the pleasure of hosting a friendly at Boundary Field today against the visiting Wombourne Allstars Diamonds. With the sun shining, it was a perfect day for football ☀️⚽
Both teams put on a fantastic display, full of great play, big smiles, and some brilliant goals and saves at both ends.
The first half started strongly for Wombourne, who took an early lead and quickly added another despite some determined battling from Vixens. FC responded well and pulled a goal back, but Wombourne’s captain scored a fantastic goal—lovely to see the girls showing their appreciation with applause 👏 They went on to add another, making it 4–1 at half time.
In the second half, FC switched things up and fought hard, creating chances and hitting the post, but the ball just wouldn’t go in. The game finished 4–1.
We hope the Diamonds had a great time with us today and enjoy the rest of your bank holiday in sunny Blackpool! Hopefully we’ll see you again soon.
