General information
Lifeline East Lancashire is a Young Persons drug and alcohol service based in Blackburn town centre. We offer advice, information and guidance for young people under the age of 25 who live in Blackburn with Darwen, on topics such as drugs, alcohol and s*x, as well as other issues that may affect young peoples lives. We are based at 68-70 Darwen Street, Blackburn BB2 2BL and our office opening hours are Monday to Friday 09:30 - 17:00. We offer drop ins on-site 13:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday and late night on Wednesdays until 18:00. We also work from other sites, including the 'Everybody Centre', at the new Barbara Castle Health Centre on Simmons Street. Please use this site to ask us anything you like. You may want to make a suggestion to improve our service, or to complain. The service is free and confidential and will not pass on any details or discuss any contacts we receive with anyone, outside of the service. The friends of this service are young people who like to know the truth about drugs and alcohol so that they are supported to try to stay safe and make informed choices in life. Lifeline East Lancashire encourages all young people to restrict their privacy settings to friends only. If you are experiencing mental distress, please dial 01254 226037 for access to the Mental Health Crisis Team. If you require emergency support with accommodation, please dial 07739 454978 for access to the Emergency Homeless Hotline Also note that you can access A&E at Royal Blackburn Hospital 24 hours a day if you feel your health is at risk .
