Taking part in creative arts activities can boost young people’s cognitive abilities by up to 17%. 🎨

That’s why our Sunday youth club makes space for hands-on creativity, and this week it was all things festive! ❄️

Our young people made cotton-wool snowmen, pom-pom decorative trees, paper snowflakes, shiny snowballs using glitter, yarn and lots of imagination. The boys even squeezed in some competitive Fifa on the PS5! ⚽🎮

We all wrapped up the session with lots of energy and a big sense of pride in creating and decorating! 💙

Want your child to join the fun? We run two inclusive youth clubs every Sunday for young people aged 5–11, and it’s FREE to join!

Who are we, and where do we belong? 💭

This week our Youth Ambassadors dug deep into 'identity' as part of our Youth Heritage Project, exploring how we see ourselves, how we’d like others to see us, and what we want the world to know about us. Our posters were full of honesty, creativity and plenty of personality!

We then zoomed out to our Community and worked together on a giant map of Blackburn to mark the places that matter most to us, from the cinema and the leisure centre to the coffee shop and, of course, Youth Action📍

After a few rounds of the Gibberish Challenge (Eye Scream Sun Day, anyone? 🍨), we wrapped up the day the only way we know how: with Just Dance! 💃

Every young person has a story worth telling, and we’re proud to help them tell it.🧡

Our Senior boys group brought the energy 🍪 kicking things off with some seriously creative biscuit decorating (some were almost too good to eat… almost 😋), then the fun didn't stop!

We got straight into table tennis, smart board games, football, and outdoor team games packed with laughs and great vibes. A huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it such a brilliant session.

Fancy joining in? Come down to Wensley Fold and see what it's all about. There's something for everyone! Get in touch today - we'd love to welcome them!

Our young people at Bangor Youth Club are officially wildlife heroes! 🐦💚

As part of our Autumn theme, they learned how birds survive Winter and built their own feeders using recycled cardboard, honey, and seeds. Proof that small hands can make a big difference. 🍂✨

👉 Want your child to join in on activities like this? Our Youth Club at Bangor Street runs every Sunday from 11am to 1pm. Open to Juniors (8-11) and Seniors (12-14). Trips, sports, and skills for life!
