2505 - Bishop Auckland Squadron - Royal Air Force Air Cadets 2505 (Bishop Auckland) Squadron is part of the Air Cadet Organisation which is based on and supported by the Royal Air Force.

Bishop Auckland Squadron is based within the TA centre grounds on St Andrews Road. We meet on Mondays and Thursdays, 18.45 - 21.30. Any young person aged 12 (and in Year 8) - 17 is welcome to join! You don't have to have plans to join the RAF (although being an air cadet will help if you do apply). Our cadets take part in a wide range of activities, including: shooting, flying, gliding, Duke of Edinburgh's Awards, day walks, parades, adventure training...the list is endless!

Following a visit from Sqn Ldr Burton he graciously presented some of our cadets with a silver cyber and master cadet awards and promoted two of our cadets to cadet Cpl’s.

He also presented a gold DofE certificate, Young DofE leader certificate and a farewell gift to our cadet Flt Sgt who leaves us as he times out after 6 years being with us. He will be greatly missed by you.
