A busy weekend for our Cubs.
They have been to the park, joined 400 Cubs at the County Pete Swinney competition, had tea at McDonald's, played board games, had a sleepover and cooked smoores on the fire pits. Time for a nap now

🛡️ Meet early medieval re-enactors, 🦅 get close to birds of prey, 🎨 enjoy themed crafts, and 🎶 live music from The Ran Tanners. There’s plenty for families to get involved in, including ⚔️ Medieval Warrior Bishop Bek's Knight School 'Boot Camp' for young adventurers.

£20 per ticket includes 2 course set meal with sides and entry into the quiz hosted by Prince Bishops Hospital Radio.

Last night at Beavers, we had the pleasure of welcoming Corporal Moore from 2505 - Bishop Auckland Squadron - Royal Air Force Air Cadets who spoke to the Beavers about his experience learning to fly, which they found fascinating!

They did a fantastic job asking lots of thoughtful questions about different aircraft, and even worked together to create a “human plane” and navigate it around the hall – great teamwork and creativity on display.

A big thank you to Corporal Moore for taking the time to come and inspire our young people!

We would like to give a huge shoutout and thank you to Hearth - Bishop Auckland, Northumbrian Water💧 The Auckland Project🏰, and Sam Rushworth, MP for Bishop Auckland for supporting us as a group. we were able to come together with over 150 Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, and Young Leaders this weekend!

We had a fantastic day at Auckland Castle—searching the parkland for a wild boar 🐖🐷🐽 following a fairy treasure 🧚‍♀️ 🤑 trail, getting up close with birds of prey 🦉and even putting our fitness to the test with the Growlympics!🥇🥈🥉

And of course, a big thanks to Northumbrian Water for keeping everyone well hydrated throughout the day!🥛🥤

What an unforgettable experience for everyone involved it feels really special camping in the castle grounds! Once again this was made possible by our dedicated leaders who ensured this weekend was possible!

Monday 11th May, 7pm at Spice Lounge Bishop Auckland

£20 per ticket includes 2 course set meal with sides and entry into the quiz hosted by Prince Bishops Hospital Radio.

Tickets available from any Leader. All welcome, if you don’t have a team, still join us and we will match you up to make a team for the quiz. Children are welcome, accompanied by an adult, but please note this event normally finishes about 10pm so is more aimed at adults.
