1st St Helen Auckland Scout Group We provide skills for life through adventure to youngsters aged between 6 and 18 in St Helen Auckland, following the program of the Scout Association.

Beavers (6-8 year olds)- Tuesdays
Cubs (8-10 year olds)- Thursdays
Scouts (10-14 year olds)- Fridays

A lovely morning at church today with our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts all coming together as part of our Scouting family.

The service was led by the Venerable Stephen Edmond’s, Archdeacon of Auckland, and it was wonderful to see so many of our young people taking part and representing our Parish!

A big thank you to all the leaders, helpers and families who supported this morning. It was lovely to see our church filled with young people!

🌍Beavers supporting St Helen's Church, West Auckland, St Helen Auckland and Tindale Crescent with their Eco Award! 🌱

This week our Beavers got creative and worked together to make some big bug houses for the church grounds! 🐝🐞🦋

It was a brilliant hands-on activity, helping our Beavers learn more about the little creatures that share our environment and why it’s so important to look after them. 🌿

We’re really proud of their teamwork, creativity and enthusiasm — and hopefully our new bug hotels will provide a safe little home for lots of creepy crawlies! 🐛🏡

A great way for our Beavers to do their bit to help the church with their Eco Award. 💚

We have some places available in our Cub Scout Section for 8 year olds. If your child is 8 (or turn 8 in the next 3 months) and would like to try something new, please get in touch!

Cubs meet on a Thursday night from 6-7:30pm at the Parish Centre in St Helen Auckland. If your child would like to join, please message this page.

Day 5 of our summer camp in Belgium 🇧🇪

We had a great time on a high ropes course. The Cubs and Scouts pushed themselves out of their comfort zones to tackle the red and black graded courses and it was brilliant to see everyone encouraging one another, facing their fears and celebrating each achievement along the way.

Day 4 of our summer camp in Belgium 🇧🇪

Our original plan of going to a waterpark didn’t go as planned so in true Scouting style, the leaders quickly came up with an alternative solution! Instead, we went to a lake with sand and the children had a great time splashing around and playing on the sand.

Some children even said it was the best day of the week so far!

Day 2 of our Belgium Summer Camp we visited the beautiful city of Ghent. We enjoyed a scenic river cruise then had an audio tour of the Castle of the Counts 🏰

Day 1 of our Belgium Summer Camp 🇧🇪

After a good nights sleep, the Cubs and Scouts explored Leuven on a Monopoly Run to earn points as a team.

We then visited the Scout Museum to learn about the history of scouting and stopped off at a park on the way back 🛝
