On a more positive note, we had a fantastic launch for the Core Memories Programme!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended our launch event. It was wonderful to see so many organisations come together with a shared commitment to creating brighter futures for young people across Tees Valley.

The Core Memories Programme is built on a simple but powerful belief that positive experiences, trusted relationships, and meaningful opportunities during childhood and young adulthood can have a lasting impact on wellbeing, resilience, and life chances.

Through this fund, we aim to:

✨ Create positive experiences that shape lifelong outcomes
✨ Strengthen trusted relationships with supportive adults
✨ Amplify youth voice and choice in decision-making
✨ Support locally led solutions designed with and for young people

We are particularly keen to support projects working with (but not inclusive of):
• Care-experienced young people
• Young people excluded from school
• LGBT+ young people, particularly those experiencing or at risk of homelessness
• Young people with learning disabilities or who are neurodivergent, especially in relation to employment opportunities

Applications are now open!

We are inviting prospective partners to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) outlining:
• What you will deliver
• Who you will work with
• How young people have been, or will be, involved in co-creating the proposal

EOI's should be submitted to [email protected] on no more than two A4 pages.

Following submission, shortlisted organisations will be invited to a face-to-face meeting to discuss their proposal in more detail.

Unfortunately, our minibus has been targeted by thieves and vandals and to say we are angry and frustrated would be an understatement.

As a small charity, we work tirelessly to support children, young people, and our wider community. Every day, our volunteers and team give their time, energy, and passion to make a positive difference in people’s lives. We fight hard for every opportunity, and every service we provide.

Then someone makes the thoughtless decision to vandalise and steal from a vehicle that exists solely to help others.

As a result, our minibus is now out of use until it can be repaired and made safe. This means disruption to the people who rely on us and additional costs that we simply should not have to face.

We know it’s a long shot, but if anyone has seen anything suspicious or knows anything about this, please get in touch. Any information, no matter how small, could help.

We’re also looking for recommendations for reliable and affordable repair services who may be able to help us get us back on the road as quickly as possible. Also, if any knows of somewhere we could store the bus in a more secure location when not in use?

Please share this post to help us spread the word.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support BCT Aspire and the work we do. Right now, we’re incredibly disappointed, but we won’t let the actions of a few stop us from continuing to make a difference.

✨🔔 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IS NOW OPEN ACROSS TEES VALLEY 🔔✨

Aim of the Funding:

This fund is rooted in a simple but powerful idea: that positive experiences, strong relationships, and meaningful opportunities during young people’s formative years can shape lifelong wellbeing, resilience, and opportunity.

We are looking for thoughtful, youth centred proposals that demonstrate a strong understanding of local needs, a commitment to inclusion and consultation and co-creation of the project with young people, and a clear approach to measuring impact.

Through this programme, we aim to:

✨ Enable positive childhood and young adult experiences that create lasting impact
✨ Strengthen trusted relationships with adults, ensuring young people feel supported, heard, and valued
✨ Amplify youth voice and choice, placing young people at the centre of decisions that affect them
✨ Support locally led solutions, empowering communities to design and deliver what works best for their young people

We are particularly interested in supporting work with young people who are often underserved or face additional challenges, including:

✨ Care-experienced young people
Young people who are excluded from school
✨ LGBT+ young people, particularly those experiencing or at risk of homelessness
✨ Young people with learning disabilities or who are neurodivergent, especially in relation to accessing and sustaining employment
