IMPORTANT UPDATE: BCT ASPIRE OCTOBER HALF-TERM OPENING TIMES 🎃📢

As we head into the October half-term holidays, some of our regular sessions at BCT Aspire will be taking a little break! 🍂👻

Please take a moment to check our updated timetable below to see which sessions are running as usual and which will be closed over the half-term period.

To all our brilliant young people, we hope you have a wonderful half term filled with fun, laughter, spooky adventures and a brilliantly boo-tiful Halloween! 👻🦇 Whether you’re dressing up as something spooky, carving pumpkins, watching Halloween films, or simply enjoying a well-earned rest, we hope you have the best time!

Until then, stay spooky, stay safe, look after one another, and remember… you’re always part of our BCT family! 🎃

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to all of our regular sessions at BCT Aspire week commencing Monday 2nd November for more fun, friendship, creativity and community spirit! ✨

GREAT SCOTT! IT’S BACK TO THE FUTURE DAY AT BCT! ⚡🚗🍂

Today, our Wednesday Youth Club took a little trip through time (well, sort of! 👀) as we celebrated Back to the Future Day with Back to the Future II, autumnal wreath-making, and the decorating of our very own munchkin pumpkins! 🎃🍁

Our BCT Den was filled with creativity, laughter, and plenty of autumn magic, but some of the loveliest moments came from simply sitting together and having those wonderful conversations about life, the things we love, and all the little things that bring us a sprinkle of happiness ✨

We also put our young people in the driving seat for the future of our Wednesday sessions, asking what THEY would love to see happening at BCT in the weeks and months ahead. And WOW… we’ve had some amazing ideas! 👀💡 We can’t wait to explore them together and keep building a space where young people feel heard, valued, and excited to come through our doors 💪🏻

Of course, no Wednesday at BCT would be complete without a little friendly competition! We enjoyed pool, kicked a football around in our BCT garden, and made the most of that crisp autumn evening before refuelling with the ultimate youth club classics: pizza and garlic bread! 🍕🧄

From pumpkin decorating to big conversations, future plans to football in the garden, it’s these little moments of connection that make our Wednesday evenings so special ⭐️

Because while we can’t promise you a DeLorean that travels through time, we can promise a place to make memories, share ideas, discover new things, and find your people 👋🏻

Where we’re going, we don’t need roads… just good company, a little creativity, and maybe another slice of pizza! 🚗💨🍕

🧶🧵 A little creativity, a lot of community! 💛

Today, our wonderful Yap & Yarn ladies returned to Billingham Library for another lovely afternoon of crafting, creativity, conversation and connection! ✨

From embroidery and crochet to diamond art and friendship bracelet making, there was plenty of creativity happening around the table. We even got started on our rag wreaths, ready to add a little handmade magic to our Christmas stalls this festive season! 🎄❤️

But Yap & Yarn is about so much more than the crafts we create. It’s about bringing people together, learning from one another, sharing skills, having a good old yap, and building friendships along the way ☕💬

And now, our lovely ladies have taken that community spirit one step further by creating their very own Facebook crafting group! 🥳🧶

A little online corner where we can share our creations, celebrate each other’s projects, swap ideas, ask questions, learn new skills and keep the conversations going throughout the week.

💛 You don’t have to attend in person to be part of our crafting community!

Whether you join us at Billingham Library on a Friday, prefer to craft from the comfort of your own home, are just starting your creative journey, or have years of experience under your belt, you are warmly welcome.

There’s no pressure to be an expert, no need to have fancy materials, and absolutely no such thing as a silly crafting question. Just a shared love of making things, connecting with others and having a good natter! 🧵🌼

HALLOWEEN CAME EARLY TONIGHT AT BCT! 👻🎃

Something wickedly wonderful was brewing at the BCT Den tonight… and we had a few spooky little visitors creeping in for our Thursday After School Club! 🕸️🦇

With Hocus Pocus 2 flickering away in the background, our little coven of creatives got busy conjuring up some marvellously monstrous masterpieces! 🧙‍♀️✨

🌲We brought pinecones and pipe cleaners to life with our very own creepy little creatures!

🎨 We got creative with some spooktacular colouring crafts!

🎃 We gave our munchkin pumpkins a magical makeover!

🕺 And, of course, no Halloween gathering would be complete without unleashing our best dance moves to Thriller and Ghostbusters! 🧟‍♂️👻 Let’s just say… the zombies weren’t the only ones losing their minds! 😂💀

From crafty creatures to questionable dance moves, our Den was full of creativity, giggles and a sprinkle of Halloween mischief 🖤✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for tonight’s frightfully fabulous fun! We’re already brewing up more BCT magic… 🧪🎃

YAP, YARN & A LITTLE BIT OF CREATIVE COMMUNITY MAGIC! ✨🧶

Today, our Yap & Yarn and Craft & Create crew went on TOUR to Billingham Library! 📚🧵 And what a wonderfully wholesome afternoon we’ve had! 💙

There’s something rather magical about bringing people together with a little creativity, a cuppa and a good old natter! ☕💬

It’s been absolutely lovely to welcome so many new faces, share stories, learn from one another and pass on a few crafty skills along the way! From crocheting and knitting to embroidery, latch hook and even diamond art, there’s been a little bit of everything happening around the table this afternoon!

Whether you came to learn something new, share your skills, have a chat or simply enjoy being part of something, it’s been wonderful to see creativity bringing people together, sparking smiles and reminding us just how special our community is 👏🏻

And this is only the beginning… 👀✨ We’ve already started dreaming up and planning lots of exciting creative projects for the coming months, so keep those crafty eyes peeled! 🎨🧵

A little autumn magic at Thursday After School Club! ✨🍂

Over the past two weeks, our young people have been up to all sorts of wonderful things!

Last week, we made the most of the BCT Garden for football, garden games and parachute fun. We got creative making jewellery, enjoyed plenty of chatting and even had some lovely conversations about autumn, the changing seasons and everything that comes with it 🍁🌳

This week, well… autumn finally remembered where we live 🌧️😂

So, rather than battling the elements, we retreated into the BCT Den for a cosy evening of Toy Story, board games, pool, and magnetic tile and Lego creations. Of course, we couldn’t let autumn pass us by without making some more autumn-themed jewellery too! 🍂📿

🎃 AND NOW FOR AN IMPORTANT HALLOWEEN ANNOUNCEMENT… 🎃

Due to volunteer availability, Thursday 15th October will be our LAST Thursday After School Club session before the October half term.

But don’t worry… we’re going out with a little bit of Spooky Chaos! 👻🕷️

We’re planning a Halloween-themed session for our young people, with spooky activities, creepy creativity and plenty of Halloween fun! 🧙‍♀️🕸️🎃

Fancy getting into the Halloween spirit? 🎃👻 Young people are MORE than welcome to unleash their inner witch, vampire, zombie, ghost… or whatever wonderful creature they fancy! 🧙‍♀️🧛‍♂️🧟‍♀️

And if dressing up isn’t your thing, that’s absolutely fine too! No pressure, no expectations — just come along, be yourself and enjoy the spooky BCT chaos 😂

Although… there is one important question…

Will our volunteers join in too? 👀🎃

We can’t make any promises… but until then, keep cosy, keep creative and keep being wonderfully YOU! 🧡
