🎅✨ Santa needs helpers! ✨🎅

It’s that time of year again! We’re getting ready to take the Bideford Round Table Santa Sleigh out on the road for 2026, spreading some Christmas cheer and raising money for our local community. 🎄🛷

Would your local club, charity or community group like to receive £250 while helping us collect donations and bring a little festive magic to the streets of North Devon? 🎁

We’re looking for merry volunteers to join us for an evening (or more!) of Santa Sleigh collecting.

🎄 What you’ll need:

A minimum group of 10 volunteers for each night you can attend (all volunteers must be 18+)
Comfortable footwear – we typically cover 5–6 miles each evening 🚶
Wet weather gear – just in case! 🌧️
Festive fancy dress is very welcome if your group would like to get into the Christmas spirit! 🎅🎄
A big smile and plenty of Christmas cheer! 😊

✨ What we’ll provide:

The sleigh, Santa and Rudolph 🛷🦌
Collecting tins and everything else you’ll need

📍 Meeting point: Caddsdown Industrial Park

⏰ Times:

Weekdays: Ready to leave at 5pm
Saturdays & Sundays: Ready to leave at 4pm

We usually finish by 9pm, when you’re welcome to stay for supper and some money-counting fun — or head home for a well-earned hot chocolate! ☕🎅

💰 In return, your group will receive £250 for taking part.

If your club or charity would like to get involved with the 2026 Santa Sleigh, drop us an email at:

📧 [email protected]

We’ll organise the rest — you just bring the volunteers and Christmas spirit! 🎄✨

Let’s make the 2026 Santa Sleigh our best one yet! 🎅🛷

This week, Bideford Round Table took a trip to Tarka Valley Railway for a fantastic behind-the-scenes tour!

A huge thank you to Brad at Tarka Valley Railway for taking the time to show us around, share the railway's history, and give us an insight into the incredible work that goes into preserving this unique part of North Devon's heritage. It was a brilliant evening and great to see the passion and dedication of the volunteers. Tarka Valley Railway

May has been another great month for Bideford Round Table!

A highlight for several members was attending Euromeet in Sélestat, France, where they joined Tablers from across Europe for a weekend of friendship, adventure and cultural experiences, including kayaking, w**e tasting and making new connections in the beautiful Alsace region.

Closer to home, we enjoyed a competitive skittles night and a visit to Gotland Gin, sampling their excellent gins and rum while taking in the stunning views.

Bideford Round Table is a group of men aged 18–44 who enjoy friendship, new experiences, supporting the local community and making the most of their free time. If this sounds like something you'd enjoy, we'd love to hear from you. Come along and see what we're all about!

We had a fantastic AGM last night, bringing both past and current members together to reflect on a great year and look ahead to what’s next for Bideford Round Table.

A real highlight of the evening was welcoming our newest member — Welcome Ian👏
