📢 An Important Update from Tweed Giving 💙
When I first launched Tweed Giving, the main goal for our very first draw wasn't about making a profit—it was entirely about building local engagement, awareness, and exposure. Unfortunately, we didn’t hit those targets.
Because I want this platform to be built on complete transparency, I spent the last three weeks running market research via email and Facebook to understand why. Over 1,300 local people took part, and the results were incredibly eye-opening:
93% of you think the concept of a community-focused competition site that gives 40% back to the Borders is a fantastic idea and want to support it.
80% of respondents who saw the site admitted they didn’t engage because they didn’t trust it yet. The biggest feedback was a completely justifiable fear of online scams and an oversaturation of competition sites, leaving people unsure of who to trust.
It all comes down to trust. And right now, trust is something we have to earn.
Because of this, I am putting a pin in Tweed Giving for now. We are going to take a short break to completely rethink our strategy, look at how we structure things, and figure out a better way to prove to you that we are 100% legitimate, secure, and dedicated to our local clubs and charities.
We aren't giving up—we are just stepping back to regroup and figure out how to do this right for the Borders.
Finally, a massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, shared a post, or took the time to fill out our market research. Your support and honesty mean the world to me.
Watch this space. We’ll see you soon.
