🎁 our elves are gathering some brilliant prizes for this year’s Christmas raffle – and what a collection it’s becoming!

So far, they’ve secured an amazing stash, including a Bolton Abbey Estate annual pass worth £150, a £90 Beau Monde Salon & Perfumery facial, £100 off a Billy Bob's Parlour party, vouchers from Lishman’s of Ilkley Friends of Ham Ilkley and PizzaExpress, a free haircut at Dexter's Ilkley & Otley, b**r gift sets from Bini Brew Co and Fuggle & Golding Tap House, a dozen golf balls from Ilkley Golf Club, a Bettys hamper, and a genuine Leeds Rhinos shirt donated and signed by their star forward Morgan Gannon – a brilliant prize for any local rugby fan!

But we aren’t done yet! We want this to be our biggest raffle yet, and we’d love your help. Could your workplace donate a prize, or could you ask a local business you know well? From bowling vouchers to yoga classes, PT sessions, sports merchandise or artwork, every donation helps. If you have an idea, please DM and we’ll add it into the mix!

What a year we have lined up! Our lovely (your PTA) are busy planning loads of brilliant fundraising events over the school year to raise money for school activities.

Watch out on the Whatsapp groups and weekly newsletter for info on each event as they come around 🤗

Everyone is welcome to join the crew! If you’d like to be involved in any activity, you’ll be very welcome - just drop us a DM or ask your year rep 💜

News from Friends of Ben Rhydding School (your PTA)!

We’re super excited to announce a couple of new roles 🤗

Liz Barraclough (mum to Oliver in Year 1 and Charlotte in Reception), will be steering the ship as Chair, while Sarah Edwards (mum to Jude in Year 4) will keep everyone in the loop as Master of Communications.

If you see them in the playground, please say hello and show your support to Friends of Ben Rhydding School (FOBRS) this year.

As a reminder, especially for families new to the school, our events and activities raise much needed funds to improve the facilities for all of our children – and rely on the support, however big or small, from across the school community.

To kick things off, our first planning meeting of the year is this Wednesday (16th) at 7:30pm at The Wheatley Arms. Come along for a drink and a natter, find out more, and see how you can get involved.

Here’s to another great year of fundraising and fun!

We’re excited to be hosting a new fundraising event for the PTA – Collage the Cow & Calf 🎨✨

Join us for a relaxed creative evening inspired by Ilkley’s iconic Cow & Calf rocks. Think music, conversation, a drink from the bar, interesting materials to explore and maybe even a little piece of art to take home at the end of the evening.

No drawing experience needed — we’ll have three Cow & Calf templates available to work from, alongside plenty of inspiration, collage materials and a demonstration to get you started.

No expectations — just come as you are and enjoy a bit of creative time out.

Whether you’re crafty, curious or just fancy trying something different, everyone is welcome.

All proceeds will support PTA fundraising for the school.
