Hope for Belper Welcome to the page for Hope for Belper. Hope for Belper grew out of the nationwide Hope 08 initiative launched in 2008.

Here you will be able to read all about this local initiative designed to demonstrate God’s love for our town by providing practical help for those around us. Its initial aim was to see “a million acts of kindness” taking place across the UK in that year. Hope for Belper currently manages the Food & Community Hub, where you can get advice, help from the food bank and stay for a meal or just a cupp

a if you wish. Built on prayer, it has seen Christians and their neighbours from across the town come together to bring the message of hope to our community by practical acts of service.

We’re bringing Mentell to Belper in September, giving local men a free place to talk, connect with others and find support when they need it.

Whether you’re here for yourself, someone you know, or simply want to support what we’re doing, you’re very welcome.

We’re getting things ready behind the scenes and there’s lots more to come over the next few weeks.

Do come along to our FREE Family Fun Day Fundraiser for Belper Community Hall on 28 June.

This event will be celebrating 20 years of Twistin Tots classes at the Hall, and give people the opportunity to say goodbye to Jacqui who is handing her wiggle sticks and maracas on to someone else; include a host of FREE activities, including Sunshine Forest School with Layla; and be raising money for the Hall via tombola, raffle and refreshments.
