❤️ Wrap up warm park play - Crossley Park in Ripley – Sunday 15 November - 10am
Come and join other parents and toddlers at Crossley Park in Ripley. Toddlers have energy to burn, and parents need a chat. Whether you’re a regular or coming along for the first time, our park meet-ups are a relaxed way to get outside, let the little ones play and meet other local parents. Hosted by Kim

🩷 Wrap up warm park play - Three Cornered Rec in Belper – Sunday 15 November - 10am
Our second wrap up warm park play of the month, this time in Belper. Lots of parents loved the last one as Kath brought some bubbles along and there was a singing circle at the end. Hosted by Kath

A relaxed meet-up for new mamas who want connection, a little breathing space and some real-life understanding along the way. Today's Coffee, Catch-Up & Careers was with Jen .for.mums and hosted by Frankie and Kath from was a big success.

A lovely morning of cuppas, conversations and mamas supporting mamas!

A big thank you to local mum and HR Consultant Jen for sharing her advice on returning to work, career changes and flexible working, and to Kath for chatting about breastfeeding and returning to work from her experience as a breastfeeding supporter.

It was so lovely to see everyone sharing experiences, asking questions and supporting one another. Because it’s not just about getting advice, it’s also about solidarity, knowing you’re not the only one figuring it all out and having a space where you can talk things through without judgement.

This is what the Belper Motherhood community is all about!

As one mama put it 'The Belper Motherhood' the gift that keeps on giving. 😍

We are planning to run another one in the New Year.

What a lovely morning at our Wrap-up-Warm Park Play! 🍂☔️

The weather was kind to us as we headed to Bargate Park in Belper for a play, a natter and a little bit of outdoor fun.

The little ones absolutely LOVED the bubbles! 🫧 There’s something about bubbles that keeps them entertained, and it was so lovely watching them chase, pop and giggle together. We finished off with our song circle.

Thank you to everyone who came along and braved the weather with us. It’s always lovely to see little ones exploring, playing and making connections while us grown-ups get a chance to chat too.

🍂 Mother Cuppa 🍂

Yesterday afternoon Stacey and Tara ran the October Mother Cuppa session. This was a session dedicated and focussed on mums. This month we talked about letting go of the pressure to do everything, the value of slowing down and focusing on the present moment, and the importance of making more space for the things we love this season. Stacey led the creative element of the session supporting mamas to explore what they needed during this time and what they wanted to let go off this Autumn.

We are planning to run another session in November and if you would like to come and join us, then send us a DM and we can add you to the WhatsApp group to keep you updated with when we will run the next one.

📣📣📣 Announcement - Introducing Kim - Belper Motherhood Community Creator 📣📣📣

Hi everyone, I'm Kim, and I am looking forward to bringing more events to local mums!

I'm a mum of 2 boys, 3 and 1, and live in Alfreton. I've attended a number or pregnancy and baby classes in Belper and love the local parenting community and want to help it continue to thrive. Being a full time working mum myself, I'm hoping to bring some new weekend events to connect mums who also find weekdays a balancing act. I know that having other mums in the same position to talk and connect with has always helped me, whether thats new mums supporting each other in those early days or chatting about balancing work and parenting and the joys of post nursery chaos.

I'm also a local boom buddy for Boom Magazine, share toddler days out that we enjoy, and am currently training as a breastfeeding peer supporter with the Breastfeeding Network Derbyshire. At work I also chair our Parenting and Carers Network which champions company wise change and provides a community of support. I can't wait to bring all of this together to support you amazing local mothers.

Yesterday morning Stacey and I took a group of mums and little ones along the brand new Little Eaton Greenway. It is a 3.5 mile multi user route from Kilburn toll bar to Little Eaton. It is really easy and with places to stop at either end I know that is going to be a popular place to walk, run or ride.

We all stopped at the end at Daily Grind Coffee House | Derby in Little Eaton for a coffee and some treats.

One mum said it perfectly:
“It was just what I needed today, it was so good to get out in the fresh air and meet other mums”

No pressure, no expectations, just mamas who get it and their little ones, and a gentle reset in the middle of the chaos of mum life.

If you’ve been feeling a bit stuck, overwhelmed, or just in need of a change of scenery… come join us next time. You’re always welcome ❤️🩷

The Belper Motherhood is growing.....

Say hello to Stacey 🫶👋

"Hello you, I’m Stacey and I’m really excited to be joining the Belper Motherhood.

I’m a local mum to two daughters born 6 years apart so we may have met at a local baby class either recently or quite some time ago! Community and connection with other mums has been such an important part of my motherhood journey. Having people and places that welcomed me whether it was a good day or a bad day, where I could have authentic and honest chats, and connect with other parents that just got it, has helped me through the difficult parts and made the great parts even more fun. I really want to help create this for other mums too.

I’m a local BEARS (Part of BFN Derbyshire) breastfeeding peer supporter, a Boom Buddy at Boom Magazine, and I run creative workshops that support mental health and wellbeing (look out for some sessions launching just for Mums soon). I can’t wait to host some Belper Motherhood events and help to support and connect the amazing community that’s been created."
