The crescent moon for Dhul Hijjah 1447 has been sighted in Saudi Arabia. Subsequently, the blessed month of Dhul Hijjah will commence from Monday 18th May 2026.

🕋 18th May 2026 - 1st of Dhul Hijjah
🕋 26th May 2026 - Day of 'Arafah
🕋 27th May 2026 - 'Eid al-Adha

May Allah grant the Hujjaaj a safe, accepted and spiritually uplifting Hajj, ease every stage of their journey, and return them home forgiven like the day they were born and may He also allow us all to maximise the blessed first ten days of Dhul Hijjah through dhikr, fasting, du'a, charity and righteous deeds, and may He accept all of our worship and efforts. Bangladesh has moved one step close to nuclear power generation.

Nuclear fuel loading has begun at the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant, marking a major milestone in its energy sector.

The power plant, built in partnership with Russia will make Bangladesh the world’s 33rd country to generate electricity through nuclear energy.
