We had a lovely hot morning at the Walled Garden today. ☀️
It was so lovely to see the children playing and exploring together. There was lots of potion making with the potion bottles, plenty of water play to help keep everyone cool, and lots of fun transferring water from container to container. We also had pipettes, jugs and test tubes.
These activities helped to develop the children’s fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving, and early mathematical thinking as they poured, measured, mixed, and explored.
The spray bottles were also a huge hit, with the children enjoying mark making on the sheets using coloured water. 🎨🖌️
This supported their early writing skills, hand strength, control, and creativity while allowing them to express themselves in a fun and engaging way.
We made bubble wands, clay faces, flower crowns, and so much more!!! 🌸🫧
The children used their creativity and imagination throughout the morning while also building confidence, communication skills, and friendships through shared play and teamwork.
Exploring the different textures and materials encouraged sensory development and curiosity about the natural world around them.
Thank you the everyone who came along!
