Are you an organised and enthusiastic administrator who enjoys working with people and making a real difference in your local community?
Barry Town Council is looking for a proactive Administrator to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a varied role at the heart of the Council's operations, providing essential support to councillors, colleagues and members of the public.
No two days are the same. One day you could be preparing papers for Council meetings and supporting elected members, the next you could be helping residents with enquiries, coordinating community facility bookings, assisting with local events, updating the Council's website or supporting the administration of cemetery services. If you enjoy a role that offers variety, responsibility and the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of activities, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We're looking for someone with previous administrative experience who is highly organised, confident using Microsoft Office and able to manage competing priorities. You'll be a strong communicator with excellent customer service skills and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of people. Just as importantly, you'll be approachable, adaptable and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.
In return, you'll join a team that is passionate about serving the local community and supporting initiatives that make a genuine difference to people's lives. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills, gain experience across a broad range of local government functions and play an important role in supporting the work of the Council.
If you're looking for a rewarding administrative role where your contribution will be valued and where every day brings something different, we'd love to hear from you.
