The Quorn chilli Scouts pre-cooked and froze for camp went down an absolute treat for dinner.

And the Blair Atholl training camp showed our youngsters round their tents and shelters. Don't be surprised if some ask to apply in 2 years. 🤣

There's a projector on site, and they're hoping to borrow a space from Ben the Warden to set it up so all the young people on site can join to watch the Scotland match (that wish to).

I can forsee some tired Scouts come the morning. 😁 But plans are flexible, they can sleep in a bit and have brunch instead of breakfast if needed.

Site services. Helping restore some pathways. Good work Scouts and Explorers.

Reports from camp are tents have stood the weather overnight.

Youngsters are well, and everyone has had a hot cooked breakfast.

They had rolls with bacon, sausage egg or potato scones.

A young fledgling crow was sitting on the path, and Scouts got the leaders and moved him somewhere he won't get stood on.

He's shouting for his parents, so will be fine in a quieter spot as the site is busy.

I can sing a rainbow!

Tshirts are soaking in the dye. We'll rinse them after lunch. Then leaders will get them washed, dried and handed back to the Cubs on Wednesday

Everyone seems to be having fun. And home made chocolate pastries and milk shake went down well for snack.

Congratulations Beavers, you have peas. And some flower seedlings.

Cubs potato plants are looking awesome too.

Now, need some volunteers to Assemble the raised beds, and to source a quantity of compost. 😁

No pressure there, but needs done before the seedlings outgrow their pots!

Parents of Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs.

It's going to be warm tonight, and we're going to be outdoors.

Remember suncream, hats and a water bottle.

Squirrels and Beavers are doing some science experiments (aka probably making a mess 😆, Cubs are making paper.

So this is 10 years of 'Baby' my cactus Cubs met last night. She's 21 now.

The Cubs were trying to get their heads round the fact if their cactus seeds sprout, they could still be caring for a plant when they are in their 30s. 😁

Well done Squirrels on designing and making our flag. I will sew it up for next week.

It's great being back to full vision after my recent eye surgery.

I enjoyed being will all 3 sections tonight.

Me and Baloo challenged Beavers to a sunflower growing competition, and they've planted peas and wildflower seeds.

Cubs have planted some cactus seeds. They may take a while to sprout. I was showing them my 21 year old cactus I've had since it was a tiny baby. They were astounded they could be 30 and maybe some of our seeds could be their pet plant 😄

Help please!

We're planing some junk modelling with our younger sections.

Please could everyone collect cardboard recycling for us? Boxes, kitchen roll tubes, cheese spread boxes, tissue boxes etc.

Also, our little reading library has been very popular, as we've been doing our book reader badges. If anyone has unused books age 4 to teen they'd like to donate, they'd be very appreciated.

Anything you have can be dropped off at the Hall on our usual Wednesday and Frifay sessions.

Thank you!
