🚜 WHAT A FANTASTIC DAY FOR THE BOWES SHOW TRACTOR RUN! 🚜

What a turnout we had on Sunday, with 84 tractors of all makes, ages, shapes and sizes setting off from Bowes for this year’s Tractor Run.

The route took them through some fantastic Swaledale scenery — although they didn’t quite make it all the way round before the rain arrived! 🌧️🚜

We’re very happy to report that all 84 tractors completed the route — not a single breakdown! 👏

Apologies for the delay in sharing an update. Internet problems on Sunday unfortunately meant we weren’t able to post anything from the day.

A huge thank you to for providing a fantastic lunch stop and putting on such a wonderful lunch for everyone.

We’d also like to say a big thank you to Richmond Motor Club and their team. A motorbike trial was taking place on part of the tractor run route at the same time, and we’re delighted to report that tractors and motorbikes all negotiated the shared section safely. Huge credit must go to the marshals for their excellent work in managing that section and keeping everyone moving safely.

Thank you also to our judge, Colin Longstaff, who certainly didn’t have an easy task with such a varied line-up of tractors to choose from! The trophy once again went to David Tutty — congratulations David! 🏆

A big thank you to everyone who helped organise the run and to our breakfast committee, who had a particularly early start making sure everyone was fed and ready for the off!

And of course, thank you to all 84 drivers and their passengers, as well as everyone who turned out in Bowes to see the tractors set off. It was fantastic to see so many people there to wave them on.

84 tractors, spectacular Swaledale scenery, a little bit of rain and no breakdowns — we’ll call that a successful Tractor Run! 🚜👏

❤️ A week ago today, the sun was setting on what had been a fantastic day for Bowes Show. 😀

After months of planning, a new date, a new showfield and a huge amount of work behind the scenes, it was a moment to look back across the field and reflect on everything that had come together – and, most importantly, all the people who had made it possible.

They say it takes a village to raise a child… well, it takes an extraordinary number of people to put on an agricultural show!

The list of people we need to thank is almost endless. So many people give their time, energy and support to Bowes Show, not just on Show Day, but in the weeks and months leading up to it.

To our working committee, gate keepers, section secretaries, entrance team, stewards, judges, exhibitors, set-up team, take-down team, trade stands, display teams and attractions – thank you.

To our sponsors, prize donors and everyone who generously donated raffle prizes – your support is hugely appreciated and plays such an important part in making the Show possible. And thank you to the Close family who hosted Bowes Show on their land this year and helped make our move to the new showfield possible.

And, of course, to every single person who came through the gates and supported Bowes Show. Without you, there simply wouldn’t be a show.

Whether you gave your time, entered a class, judged, stewarded, sponsored a class, donated a prize, helped set up the showfield, stayed to help take it all down again, brought a trade stand or display, or simply came along and enjoyed the day – you were part of making Bowes Show 2026 happen.

To each and every person who played a part, however big or small…

THANK YOU. ❤️

We really couldn’t do it without you.
