We've introduced Kipsaina Education and Environment Partnership (KEEP), Teesdale Opportunities for Youngsters with Disabilities (TODYS) and this week we look at Teesdale YMCA.
YMCAs across England and Wales provide a wide range of programmes. Here in Teesdale they support vulnerable people in Cockfield and Evenwood; whether it’s young people, families or those later in life. From providing opportunities to connect, a safe space to be, positive activities that provide holistic health activities, they welcome and work with all. YMCA believes in the potential of all they serve.
If you get a chance, pay a visit to their Community Café at Cockfield. Delicious food!

📣Deadline to apply this weekend!!📣

The local heat of the Rotary Young Musician Competition will be held at The Witham, Barnard Castle, on Sunday, 23rd November. Please note that the deadline for entries is Sunday, 9th November.

Charles Knights, an esteemed violinist and respected violin coach with considerable experience—including his longstanding association with the National Children's Orchestras of Great Britain (NCO)—will serve as adjudicator for performances by young instrumentalists and vocalists from the region.

This competition offers a platform for young musical talent to be recognised, providing participants with the opportunity to perform publicly, receive constructive feedback from an experienced adjudicator, and foster potential collaborative relationships with fellow musicians.

All entrants will receive certificates, while winning competitors will be awarded cash prizes and trophies.
