Looking out of the window just now tells me just how kind the weather gods were to us yesterday for a lovely afternoon on the Banham Green. We want to thank everyone involved:

Thank you to Kenninghall Morris for traditional entertainment, perfect for our first Eden Project Communities Big Lunch!

Thank you to Banham Baby and Toddler Group for coming along and providing creative activities for the kids.

Thank you to Diss Sewing group for the bunting that stretched around the green.

Thank you to Norfolk Knitters & Stitchers for the joyful little teddybears that joined some of the children for their picnic.

Thank you to the Lord of the Manor for allowing us to use the green.

Thank you to Banham Parish Council, to our volunteers and Trustees, to everyone who helped us set up and clear away, and to everyone who came and shared their food.

And, a very special thank you to David and Jane Hicks and the Friends of Banham Church for letting us use their marquee and coffee machine. We could not have done it without you.

Truly a community effort!

This week it is Volunteers' Week and we want to give a big shout out to all of the people who give their time to make Banham Village Community Hub work. From serving in the cafe, to washing up and helping clear away, none of it would be possible without you.

Come along to our Wednesday cafe and say "hi" and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee and a piece of cake. Our cafe provides Banham's very own Warm Welcome Campaign warm space all year round.

Have a chat with some of your friends and neighbours. And, if you are new to Banham, it's a great way to get to know our community. You will be given a warm welcome.

If you thought there is no fun to be had when working on fitness, I think this smile says it all! We don't tend to go for the burn but most of us are fitter than when we started with improved balance, posture and strength. Our sessions are funded by Norfolk Community Foundation and provided free by the Banham Village Community Hub in the main hall at the Banham Community Centre. Sessions start at 12 noon so why not come along and give it a try.
