Wednesday morning means that our Community Wednesday Cafe will be open between 10am and Noon in the Banham Community Centre small hall. As ever, free cakes and beverages will be available along with books and jigsaws.

On Saturday 5th September we have a fun family prize bingo night. We hope to see you all there.

We have our regular Wednesday Cafe tomorrow and we are looking forward to welcoming Dawn from Breckland Council who will be on hand to share up-to-date tech skills. She is visiting us on the 3rd Wednesday of September and October as well, so if you miss this chance you can catch her again next month. Feel free to bring your own device along and we are sure she will be able to offer you guidance.

Of course, we also have our regular offerings of home baked cakes, coffee, regular tea, and fruit teas. These and our free book and jigsaw swaps.

We look forward to seeing all of our regulars and always happy welcome new faces. And the best part is that, as we are supported by Norfolk Community Foundation, it's all free!

The Hub has much on offer this week and something to look forward to in September.

On Tuesday we have a Movement for Wellbeing session in the main hall led by professional trainers. If you have ever thought you would like to become more active and don't know where to start this group is perfect. Gentle exercises taken at your own pace and level intensity is proving to be a great way of finding the motivation.

On Wednesday we have our regular community cafe with free hot drinks and cakes, and squash and some breakfast teats on offer for the kids .

This week, Dawn from Breckland Council will be on hand at our Cafe to offer free advice and guidance on getting to grips with tech and the internet. With physical banks and other services disappearing from our high streets, her advice may help you find the confidence to access these services while staying safe on line.

Then, make a note in your diary or mark it on your calendar, we have a fun family bingo night on Saturday 5th September in the Community Centre main hall.

These are all offered to you by Banham Village Community Hub, an independent charity that aims to promote community togetherness for everyone who lives in or around Banham.

We are a happy, creative and friendly bunch who love to welcome everyone and, if you are new to knitting or crochet, we are happy to share our skills. Last month the lovely Ann helped a lady to learn the skill of picking up stitches.
People also bring along projects they are working on as one of our ladies did last month, who brought along a beautiful butterfly cardigan she is working on.
If you would like to be involved in one of our community projects, we have everything you need to take part.

Brian, at the Banham Barrel keeps us cool in the warmer weather, and cosy when the colder weather arrives. This group is free to attend, and hot and cold drinks are available to purchase.

You don't have to live in Banham to attend, no need to book just pop along.

What a morning we had at our Wednesday Cafe today! Once a year we hold a session to the benefit of another cause that our community care about. This year we set out to raise some funds for Keeping Abreast and Prostate Cancer UK and by golly our volunteers and guests did just that to the tune of £360.58. Banham is the home of the most caring community and this just proves it!

This week we have a rather special Wednesday Cafe as Alison, of our regulars, asked us to raise some money for the fight against cancer. This year we have chosen Keeping Abreast and Prostate Cancer UK to share all money raised at our cafe this week.

I'm sure there will be plenty of (in)appropriately buns on offer to enjoy along with a cup of tea, coffee or squash. So do come along and join us and help us support these worthy causes.
