🚨 PARENTS OF BALNAMORE | We are seeking to bring our Tiny Kickz sports programme to the Balnamore Community Cenre on a Saturday morning from August (date TBC).

Tiny Kickz is a fun-based learning sports programme for children aged between walking and 5 years old.

Tiny Kickz provides your child the opportunity to develop their fundamental movements, listening skills and their social skills within an environment that designed to be positive for your child to grow.

Our platform starts your childs sport journey in a world full of colour, imagination and fun! 🌈💭🤸‍♂️

👣 Below is our Tiny Kickz Pathway | Which class and time slot is suitable to your child? -

• Tiny Kickz Free-Play | Walking To 2 Years Old - 9:30am.
• Tiny Kickz Structured | 2 Years Old To 3.5 Years Old - 10:30am.
• Tiny Kickz Advanced | 3.5 To 5 Years Old - 11:30am.

📍 We currently have locations in North Belfast, West Belfast, Downpatrick, Enniskillen, Omagh, Bangor, Portavogie, Derry/Londonderry, Limavady, Maguiresbridge, Glenavy, Dromore, Lisburn, Newcastle, Kilkeel, Larne, Kircubbin, Strabane and Antrim.

Would this be something that the Balnamore community would be interested in attending? The classes are provided on a weekly basis.

Hi folks,

The Belfast Giants have again kindly offered our community the chance of some tickets for the SSE, this time its the 3ICE World Cup!!!

Numbers are strictly limited so if you would like to be considered please comment the number you require and on what day. I will then go back to the Giants with the magic numbers. So be quick!!!

Saturday 4th July @ 7pm

Sunday 5th July @ 7pm

Once I have them in my possession I can transfer them to you.

And please, only take them if you can use them, the SSE dont like unused tickets and we may not be offered more in the future if this happens.

The 3ICE World Cup marks the league’s most ambitious expansion to date. This two-day, eight-team international tournament will see national teams compete for global bragging rights at the home of the Belfast Giants.

The confirmed nations competing are 3ICE Great Britain, 3ICE USA, 3ICE Canada, 3ICE Sweden, 3ICE Finland, 3ICE Switzerland, 3ICE Germany, and 3ICE Austria. 3ICE Great Britain will be led by Belfast Giants head coach Adam Keefe and will feature selected players from across the Elite Ice Hockey League, offering local fans a unique opportunity to see top domestic talent unite on home ice against world-class opposition.

The tournament will be broadcast internationally through 3ICE’s global media partners, placing Belfast on screens across Europe, North America, and beyond. Alongside the games themselves, the weekend will feature fan engagement activity and community programming, delivering a major celebration of ice hockey for both local supporters and visiting fans.

Balnamore CA was very proud to host the Inter-Agency meeting yesterday for the Ballycastle/Ballymoney area.

Representatives for many other CA's, NIHE, DFI and PSNI were all in attendance and were greatly appreciative of Balnamore's warm hospitality. (Particularly the delicious sandwiches supplied by Apperley's of Ballymoney). 🥪🤤

We have been assured that a larger police presence will be visible in the coming months, with 4 new community officers joining the community policing team.

The issue was raised about speeding through the village and we hope we will be given the assistance required to keep our streets safe from speeding and antisocial driving, which is on the increase throughout the area. Our local officers also reminded us of the importance of reporting crime.

Oh behalf of Margaret and myself, we hope to host this valuable event again in the future.

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our Community Association has been awarded £20,000 in funding from the National Lottery Community Fund 🎉 The National Lottery Community Fund The National Lottery Community Fund Northern Ireland

This funding has been awarded specifically to support the activities and events that YOU, our community, have told us you want more of, the things you know and love most.

Over the next two years this funding will help us provide:

🌸 Community craft workshops, including our popular flower arranging, pottery decorating and seasonal craft activities
🧶 our knit and natter group
🎄 Our annual Christmas Lunch for local pensioners
✨ Christmas community activities and events
🎃 Our Halloween Disco
🚌 Community trips and days out, something we know so many of you enjoy, and we are delighted to be able to offer again this summer
🩹 Updated Food Hygiene and First Aid training for our volunteers
🏡 Support towards our insurance and running costs to help us continue delivering activities safely throughout the year

This funding will allow us to continue bringing people together, reducing isolation, and creating opportunities for residents of all ages to connect, socialise and enjoy community life. As always, our approach is based on what you want to see and this programme has been shaped by the feedback, ideas and support from our local community.

Well thats a wrap for another indoor season at Balnamore!

The highlight of the closing weeks ended with the Turkey Trot, the partnership of David & Gwennie running away with the golden eggs in the final. Special thanks go to Lyle Freeman for sponsoring this year's tournament. Thank you, Lyle.

Our thanks also go out to Denis Connolly for his knowledge, stewardship, and trusty measuring tape when things get serious. 😅

Thank you to everyone who has come to our little wednesday night gang this year. It really gives the place a warm atmosphere, always a laugh to be heard and a smile to be seen.

Thank you to everyone for bringing sweet things, week in, week out. It is much appreciated by all.

We hope to see you all again in September.
