It's our Halloween themed social group meeting on Wednesday 14 October from 6-7.30pm at the 4C Community Centre on Taunton Road Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9DR. We will be thinking about how we all like the excitement of feeling a bit scared but only when we know we are safe. So reassuring ourselves that we are safe helps when we face new challenges. Feel free to have a dress rehearsals for trick or treating later in the month: we enjoy seeing each other's costumes. We will be playing Halloween games including everyone's favourite "Wrap the Mummy"! Come and make some crafts, play games, and enjoy music and snacks. Dr Joy Harris Consultant Clinical Psychologist will be on hand to offer individual advice and support if needed. No referral is needed, it's free to attend (but donations are always welcome) and all the family are welcome 🥰

It's our Autumn themed social group meeting on Wednesday 9 September from 6-7.30pm at the 4C Community Centre on Taunton Road Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9DR. We will be having an autumn themed treasure hunt, building a giant nest, and adding to our nature table. Bring something interesting in of your own to add to our nature table if you like. We will be thinking about how nature helps us and what is important to us in our own homes at this time of year. Come and make some crafts, play games, and enjoy music and snacks. Volunteers needed. Hi everyone, this is an appeal for help as we are struggling to support our families at our monthly social groups as we have so few volunteers who can attend regularly in person. We need volunteers in the Tameside area who are interested in supporting families and young people who could come and help us at our once a month social groups (second Wednesday of the month 6-7.30 pm - come at 5.45 to set up, leave by 7.45pm). Particularly people who can help us set up and tidy away at the end, and help with crafts and activities during the session? Please can everyone share this post so we can reach more people. This post would suit people who are looking for work experience in this area, or who want to give something back to their community. We would particularly welcome young people and parents/carers who have struggled themselves in the past and would like to use their experience to help others. We would need to do a DBS check before you start but we would pay for this. Please dm me if you are interested. Thank you 🥰

It's our Sports Day themed social group meeting on Wednesday 8 July from 6-7.30pm at the 4C Community Centre on Taunton Road Ashton-under-Lyne OL7 9DR. If the weather is kind to us, we'll be having some traditional sports day type games, i.e. egg and spoon, sack race, three legged, wheel barrow etc outside. If not we will do what we can inside including table football World Cup! Come and make some crafts, play games, and enjoy music and snacks.
