LGBT Foundation is one of our key partners in Manchester, and this Pride Month we’re proud to shine a light on the vital work they do. 🏳️‍🌈

As a national charity, LGBT Foundation puts LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing at the heart of everything they do. Through their services, activities and community support, they celebrate and empower LGBTQ+ people to realise their full potential. 💜

For many, their support can be a lifeline — helping people feel heard, valued and supported as they move towards their goals and aspirations. ✨

A huge congratulations to our CGL Manchester colleagues at Bradnor Point on achieving Hepatitis C micro-elimination 🎉💙

This fantastic milestone reflects the dedication of the team and their commitment to making testing, treatment and ongoing support more accessible.

Well done to everyone involved in this incredible achievement 👏

Celebrating another fantastic milestone for CGL Manchester! 🎉

Huge congratulations to the team at our Bradnor Point hub on achieving Hepatitis C micro-elimination — an incredible accomplishment that reflects the dedication, teamwork and commitment to improving access to care across the service.

This milestone highlights what’s possible when staff come together with a shared goal: making testing, treatment and ongoing support accessible for everyone.

Hepatitis C micro-elimination is all about removing barriers — making it easier for people to get tested, start treatment and stay supported. And the great news is:

✅ Testing is quick, simple and accessible
✅ Treatment is far easier and more effective than many people think
✅ Support is available every step of the way

If you haven’t been tested yet, or it’s been over 12 months since your last test, now is the perfect time. Speak to your recovery worker — they’re here to support you every step of the way.

Let’s build on this success and keep moving forward together — eliminating Hepatitis C starts with each of us taking that first step. 💙

It’s Drowning Prevention Week 🛟

Out enjoying the warmer weather this summer? Stay safe near water 💙

Alcohol and drugs can affect judgement and make water-related accidents more likely - especially around canals, rivers and lakes.

If you’re spending time near water:

🛟 Stay aware of your surroundings
🛟 Avoid entering water after drinking
🛟 Don’t leave others alone near water
🛟 Call 999 if someone is in trouble near water

If possible, throw rescue equipment to help them float until emergency services arrive.

Simple steps like these could help save a life.

Water safety guidance adapted from RNLI Float to Live and Royal Life Saving Society UK - RLSS UK and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS).

Manchester City Council is reviewing the PSPO, which helps tackle anti-social behaviour and keep the city centre safe, clean and welcoming.

If you live, work or spend time in Manchester city centre, you can share your views on the proposals to extend it for a further three years.

🗓️ Today is the last chance to have your say on the 12th June. Scan the QR code in the image to take part.
