This week we would like to say a really big thank you to all of our wonderful and dedicated fridge monitors, who find time in their busy lives and turn up in all weathers to keep the fridge clean and ensure it's running properly. Our community fridge wouldn't be possible without people working behind the scenes like this, so heartfelt thank yous to everyone - we appreciate all you do! 🙏✨

With all this hot weather, our community freezer has had to work a bit harder than usual and is now in need of some repairs. The wonderful Cathie at Tom's Country Store has stepped in and offered us one of her freezers while we wait for an engineer, so the community freezer is still being stocked and is still based at Tom's, but we'll just be using one at the left of the shop until ours is up and running again! Thank you Cathie for your help! And thank you to all those who use the freezer and help to reduce food waste! 🙏🏻☀️🧊

Many thanks to the team at Fareshare South West!! A huge quantity of very short-date chilled food unexpectedly landed in their warehouse on Friday afternoon - meaning that it would have needed to go to waste - team collaboration meant that instead, it was redistributed to Ashburton and Moretonhampstead Community Fridges. 🙏🏻💛

And much appreciation to Richard and the Larder Distribution team at ACF for all your wonderful work in getting it out there! 💪😊
