BF HIVE, part of the Ark Trust charity, provides a volunteer network supporting the community.

In partnership with Bracknell Forest Council it is providing the Community Response volunteer network during COVID-19 and supporting the NHS with volunteers at the Bracknell Forest Vaccination Hub

Friendly Knit and Natter Group based at Forget-me-Knot, 9 Wildridings Square, Bracknell.

Tuesdays: 1.30pm-3.30pm

The group is free to attend, we just ask you to buy some refreshment from our community cafe.

Households are being urged to check that their heating devices are safe, as fires involving electric blankets have reached a five year high.

The Public Protection Partnership will once again be offering a free Electric Blanket Testing service this year in Bracknell.

Monday, 26 October 2026. From 9:30am to 3:30pm. At Bracknell Fire Station.

No booking is required, however please note, as it is a drop-in service, you may be required to wait to have your item/s checked.

SIGNAL4Carers, the information, advice and support service for adult unpaid and family carers in Bracknell Forest, is looking at further developing some areas of its support.

To help they are asking carers who care for someone who lives in the borough of Bracknell Forest, including those not already registered with the SIGNAL service, to complete this survey. It should take no more than 10-15 minutes.

There is no need to provide your name and contact details unless you would like a Carers Support Worker to contact you and/or you would like to be entered into a draw to win one of four shopping vouchers.

SIGNAL4Carers is provided by local charity The Ark Trust CIO (Reg. Charity No. 1098204) with funding provided by Bracknell Forest Council.

Following the National Alert we would encourage residents to review our wildfire prevention materials on https://www.rbfrs.co.uk/latest-news/2026/help-prevent-wildfires-this-summer/ to help us keep Berkshire safe.

We are currently attending a wildfire in Thatcham, and the risk will continue to be extremely high over the weekend. Please help us to help you.
