πŸ“’ Unpaid and Family Carers – Your Voice Matters

The Government is asking unpaid carers to share their experiences as part of a Call for Evidence on Carer's Allowance.

This is your opportunity to influence how Carer's Allowance could be modernised, including:

πŸ’™ How the earnings rules affect you
πŸ’™ Balancing paid work and caring
πŸ’™ What needs to change to make the benefit fairer and more flexible

If you've ever had to reduce your working hours, worried about the earnings limit, or struggled to balance employment with caring responsibilities, your experience could help shape future reforms.
The consultation is open until 11:59pm on 18 August 2026, and responses can be submitted online, by email, by post, or in accessible formats including Easy Read, BSL, audio and Braille.
Please take a few minutes to have your say and help ensure the voices of unpaid carers are heard.

πŸ‘‰ Find out more and respond here:

Please share this post to help reach as many unpaid carers as possible. Together, we can help shape a system that better reflects the realities of caring. πŸ’™
