We are delighted to announce that our Manager, Pauline Bothwell, has been awarded an MBE in recognition of her outstanding service to the people of South Armagh 👏.

This August marks 40 years since Pauline married Ian and moved into Darkley House. From those beginnings, so much has grown and developed, impacting countless lives across the community🫶.

This honour is a fitting recognition of Pauline’s leadership, vision, compassion, and unwavering integrity. Over the years, she has dedicated herself to serving others, always demonstrating exceptional commitment and care for the people and communities around her.

Pauline has led through both times of great success and periods of significant challenge. Anyone who has had the privilege of knowing or working alongside her will recognise the dedication, resilience, and determination that have characterised her life and work❤️.

We are incredibly proud of Pauline and all that she has achieved. Please join us in congratulating her on this well-deserved and remarkable honour👏.

✨Helpers Day & Sunday Community Dinner✨

A big thank you to all our amazing volunteers who came along over the weekend – we got a fantastic amount done in the garden, from grass cutting and weeding to washing vehicles. Your time and effort really make a difference! 🌸🌷🌼

On Sunday, we were delighted to welcome 29 guests for our four-course Community Sunday Dinner. It was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by all😍🍴.

We’re already looking forward to seeing everyone again for our next Helpers Day on Saturday 13th June and Community Sunday Dinner on Sunday 14th June.

Thanks again to everyone who supports what we do – we couldn’t do it without you 💛.

We had a fantastic and busy weekend with Helpers Day on Saturday and our Community Dinner on Sunday!

The weather was on our side, and we were able to get plenty of outdoor jobs done 🌲🌺🌤️

✨🎄 CHRISTMAS DAY 2025 ✨🎄

We were delighted to welcome 35 people to Darkley House on Christmas Day! 🎄

It was a fun-filled day, from charades, to Philip playing the piano to our annual Christmas Quiz. Congratulations to The 3 Amigos for being this year’s winners ✨ 🏆

We would like to thank all of our wonderful volunteers for their help, especially Catherine Cox, who continues to support us every Christmas Day ❤️.

We finished the day with a lovely High Tea, and we would like to thank everyone for coming along and for your continued support throughout the year 🫶✨🙏.

We wish you all a very Happy New Year, may 2026 be a great year for you 💥✨🌟🌏
