Mission Trip to Uganda 2027 (2025) - 14th July to 30th July 2027

Mullabrack and Kilcluney Parish Churches Team

We are taking a team of people from our church to Uganda with Abaana next summer (2027) to help with mission and building work. Kenny and I are taking a team of people from our church to Uganda next summer (2025) to do work with Abaana - school work, street work, building work etc

We are in the early stages of planning and it will take a lot of fundraising to get money together for the building project, so this page is to notify friends, family, and supporters about the work we're doing in the run up to our trip.

🙏 Praying for our Uganda team 🇺🇬

Our 2027 team is beginning to prepare, and while there is still a long way to go before we travel, there is already plenty to pray about.

Please pray for each person who is preparing to go — for those who have been to Uganda before and for those who will be experiencing it for the first time.

Pray that God would prepare our hearts for what lies ahead, and help us to go with the right attitude — ready to listen, ready to learn, ready to serve and ready to step outside our comfort zones.

Pray for the friendships that are already beginning to form within our team, that we would support one another and grow together over the coming months.

Pray too for the practical preparations — the fundraising, planning, travel and everything else that needs to happen before we leave.

Most importantly, pray that God would be at the centre of our preparations and our time in Uganda, and that He would use each member of the team in whatever way He has planned.

We would love our church family to pray for us as we prepare for this journey. 💜

Today Tullanisken Parish church, Newmills in Co. Tyrone were out in force at their harvest and mission service…in support of Marc Brodison, from their parish, a very hard working team member on our Uganda Mission Trip 2027.

We had a very tasty stew lunch and dessert and Pauline Marshall spoke about our project and mission plans in Uganda with Abaana.

Well - what a brilliant night we had, 🎶🎵🎤… singing along to the best of songs, hymns and choruses.

We had super talented artists to lead us in song and we finished off with a delicious and bountiful supper.

Thank you all for supporting our Mullabrack and Kilcluney Parish Group and Abaana as we continue in fundraising for our Uganda Mission Trip 2027.

A night of blessings abounded in song and fellowship.

Meet the Team - Rebecca!

Hi everyone! I’m Rebecca Shirley and I’m so excited to be part of the team heading to Uganda next year!

A little bit about me. I’m from Portadown and I work as a therapeutic radiographer. In my spare time, I love spending time with friends and family and can usually be found with a coffee in hand.

Mum, Dad and Phil headed out with the team last year and ever since it was announced that another team was going out next year, I’ve been so excited about the opportunity to go to Uganda.

I am most looking forward to working with the kids, the Zuri Girl project and the street reach but am also so up for getting stuck in with the building work too. I’m also really looking forward to meeting our sponsor children James, Patricia and Nicholas as well. Mostly I’m excited to see what God is already doing in Uganda and to be part of whatever He has planned for our team.

My prayer is that we’ll go with open hearts, be willing to serve wherever we’re needed, and that God would use us to show His love to the people we meet.

Just one week to go until our Sing for Your Supper evening!

Preparations are well underway and we’re looking forward to a great evening of food, fellowship, music and plenty of singing — all while helping us raise funds for our Uganda 2027 team.
