Are you passionate about the Three Towns and want to make a difference to the area?

If so, we are looking for people to join the newly-created Three Towns Neighbourhood Board.

It's being set up after the UK Government confirmed that Stevenston Hayocks, Stevenston Ardeer (partial), Stevenston North West, Saltcoats Central and Ardrossan Central would be supported with targeted funding under the recently announced Pride in Place Programme.

Across Great Britain, 284 communities, will each receive up to £20m to precisely target areas which can benefit most from funding being made available for a wide range of regeneration projects.

And a Neighbourhood Board must be formed to deliver the programme.

If you'd like to be a part of the Board or learn more about it, we are hosting a series of drop-in sessions next week. Our team will be there to answer any questions you might have and provide all the info you need.

You can also express an interest by filling out our online form - https://tinyurl.com/mrbed9xd

We look forward to seeing you there

Need to p*e more often?

As part of Men's Health Week, we're encouraging men to pay attention to their prostate health.

Many men assume needing to p*e more often is simply part of getting older. It can be, but it can also be linked to an enlarged prostate.

Benign Prostatic Enlargement (BPE) is a common prostate condition that can affect men from their 40s onwards and becomes more common with age.

Support and treatment are available, so don't ignore symptoms.

If you're experiencing symptoms or are concerned about your prostate health, speak to your GP.

For trusted information about BPE, symptoms and treatment options, we recommend visiting Prostate Scotland’s website at https://www.prostatescotland.org.uk/disease-tests-and-treatments/benign-prostatic-hyperplastia-bph

Commuters and drivers are asked to be aware of a significant diversion which is scheduled to be put in place next month to allow the major B714 upgrade to progress.

Contractors Wills Bros have made significant progress with the first phase of this transformational £34.7 million programme to improve North Ayrshire’s road network.

To allow the essential engineering and alignment works to proceed safely, a temporary full closure of the B714 will be put in place from 27 July 2026. It is currently anticipated that this closure may last up to 14 months.

Drivers and commuters are advised to plan ahead and follow the clearly signed official diversion routes during this period.

The diversion route via the B780 West Kilbride Road to Munnoch Road has been carefully planned to minimise disruption, adding approximately 3.6 miles and around seven minutes to the standard journey time.
