There will be lots happening throughout the afternoon, including:

We’ll also be joined by a wide range of local organisations and services, including Give Blood, Davidson’s Pharmacy, Angus Alive, Health Walks, Forfar Parkrun, Guide Dogs, Therapy Ponies, Blood Bikes, and many more.

✨ One year on from opening The Beacon Community Wellbeing Centre, we're looking back at the transformation of the building at Kirk Square, Arbroath.

Formerly the Arbroath Access Office, the space was thoughtfully renovated to create a warm, welcoming and non-clinical environment for people experiencing emotional distress.

The design was shaped by experienced professionals and people with lived experience of mental health, with trauma-informed, sensory and safety assessments helping to create the supportive environment you see today.

We're proud of how far we've come in the last year and grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life. 💙

The Beacon is open every day from 12 noon to 12 midnight, providing support for anyone aged 16+ living in Angus, as well as family members, friends and carers.

Men's Mental Health Week

This week is a reminder that it's okay for men to talk, to reach out, and to ask for support.

At The Beacon, we're here for everyone, including men who might be struggling in silence. If you're experiencing suicidal thoughts, emotional distress or crisis and are looking for support, or just need someone to listen, you don't have to face it alone.

The Beacon received a generous donation of £126.00

Katay Salvona organised this fundraising initiative herself, driven by her passion for supporting mental health services.

Katay works at Cloud 9 in Arbroath, who kindly supported the effort by donating treatments for a raffle.

The funds will be used to purchase additional items to enhance the experience and wellbeing of people who access the service. Thank you Katay!

The Beacon offers community support for anyone in Angus, aged 16 or over, who may be experiencing emotional distress, including suicidal thoughts. If you, or someone you know are looking for support, please drop in, or get in touch by phone, email, text, or via our social media. We are open from 12noon – 12 midnight, 7 days a week, including holidays.
