The Beacon Angus The Beacon is a new Community Wellbeing Centre opening in Arbroath in Summer 2025. Anyone living in Angus aged 16 and over can contact us for help.

The Beacon is a Community Wellbeing Centre in Arbroath offering a safe and welcoming space for anyone aged 16 and over in Angus who is experiencing emotional distress, including family members and carers. From 1 April, you can get support over the phone, email and through social media. We offer kind and caring support to people experiencing emotional distress, their carers, families and friends. We provide support from 12 noon to 12 midnight, 7 days a week, every day of the year.

The Beacon received a generous donation of £126.00

Katay Salvona organised this fundraising initiative herself, driven by her passion for supporting mental health services.

Katay works at Cloud 9 in Arbroath, who kindly supported the effort by donating treatments for a raffle.

The funds will be used to purchase additional items to enhance the experience and wellbeing of people who access the service. Thank you Katay!

If you, or someone you know are looking for support, please drop in, or get in touch by phone, email, text, or via our social media. We are open from 12noon – 12 midnight, 7 days a week, including holidays.

This week, The Beacon celebrates one year since opening. We first launched on 1 April 2025 as a virtual service, offering support by phone and video. In June 2025, our newly renovated building opened, giving people the option to drop in for support with emotional distress and/or suicidal thoughts.
